Going crazy!!!

so my wife and i want to take my nephews to a fun outdoor place this weekend!

but wait...!!

!...their dad won't let them go.

So my wife and I want to take my nephews to a fun outdoor place this weekend! But wait...!!!...their dad won't let them go. Why? Because the oldest (about 9) is a new "unbaptised publisher" and his dad wants him to "get some time in". What a Jerk!

I am going to try to get him (dumb dad) to cave, and tell him how much his sons will appreciate creation, and the beautiful outdoors. What's 2 more hrs on a time slip anyway?...meaningless statistics that will be forgotten. The Dad won't be going out anyway, he works most saturdays! If he can't have fun, don't want the two boys to have fun....idiot!

(sorry, just needed to vent a bit)

i think emails are a potentially effective way of conveying information to jw's, they love firing them off to all their friends.

could we get some information in under the radar in this manner...?.

I thought this was an interesting thread by just2laws, a former elder. One comment I liked in his initial comments: " You are not crazy nor are you evil for being here"

Some of us new ones (posters) still attending meetings, need these kinds of comments from former elders etc.

If you're a new lurking elder....this is a good post for you to read.

Bethel Tour - What a Joke

i had to laugh (internally of course), i was over at a friends house and he was showing me pics of a bethel trip they took sometime in the spring.

pic 1...a bunch of people (the tourists) in suits walking through a (seeming empty-ish) warehouse with goofy smiles on their faces.

Pic 2-6: stopping to look at an information board with pictures, and textual descriptions. Pic 7: a little museum room of sorts, picture next to african kids (life size cardboard cut outs) selling magazines (I'm not joking!!) and also "bros and sis" posing with an antique watchtower and awake bag advertising the mags for 5c.

I hope they got a good deal on airfare!

being an attendant 'guard' at assy's and feeling that 'goose-bumpy' chill that i was in the vicinity of a gb member.

oh boy...he said "hello brother" to me.

accepting commendation for talks, being told i was a 'good teacher' when all i did was parrot info from the cd rom.. thinking to myself "i can't wait to see the look on the apostates faces, when the big 'a' comes and they see the wrath of jah".
