Listener...they are either attracting mentally ill people or producing them
So spot on and hilarious!
thursday, august 31. jehovah knows those who belong to him.—2 tim.
2:19.. in recent years, we have seen an increase in the number of those partaking at the memorial of christ’s death.
that trend contrasts with the decrease in the number of partakers that we saw for many decades.

Fascinating picture. Please tell me what PIMO means.....
i was born in the religion but why on earth do people join this religion?

Irrelevant
last week we had a reassurance ultrasound with our ob.
she was just supposed to check heartbeats on the two little ones and they were going strong!
but because she had extra time and she can be quite anal about her work (which is a good thing) she decided to take some measurements.
So tragic for you and your wife. Love to both of you
how many in your age group are still jehovahs witnesses?
from where we are at, there aren't many left.
each year it gets smaller and smaller haha .
I have a hard time finding any active JW's of my age group (50's). Especially if they were raised by two active JW parents. A few that were raised by a zealot of a mother and a "worldly" father still attend, but not the ones that were raised in a strict two parent household (We apparently all evolved)
i've seen discussions here about how jehovah's witnesses seem to be prone to believing conspiracy theories... https://digest.bps.org.uk/2017/04/05/why-more-highly-educated-people-are-less-into-conspiracy-theories/.
this last paragraph seems particularly relevant:.
importantly, van prooijen said his findings help make sense of why education can contribute to “a less paranoid society” even when conspiracy theories are not explicitly challenged.
Thanks Mickey Mouse - very interesting article. Good to see you here! I miss seeing your posts :)
i never got into trouble with the elders.
i served on judicial committees too many times.
i am happy that i no longer have to "judge" whether someone is a "sinner" any longer!
Village Idiot
I was disfellowshipped in absentia
Me too V.I. .... Only happens to the best of us :)
check out the latest watchtower:.
"your defense?
be determined to stick to jehovah’s organization and loyally support the leadership he provides—no matter what imperfections may surface.
"Keep in mind that Satan does not want you to think clearly or reason things out well. Why? Because propaganda “is likely to be most effective,” says one source, “if people . . . are discouraged from thinking critically.”"
Critical thinking skills are not even taught in this country until college, and since college is condemned, then what would anyone at the KH even begin to know about critical thinking?
And I always love it when they give us detailed information on where their material is coming from ....."says one source"
