  Tell Us What's Happening on Mother's Day

  so many of us are free, so many of us are not.. share whatever "mother's day" activity you will be involved in this year.

  moms and those with non or ex-jw moms, whazzup?.

  My Mother's Day starts tonight and goes through Sunday. We are having a home coming party tonight for my oldest daughter (comes home from college today). Tomorrow we are taking the day off to shop and garden. Saturday we are sleeping in and then going out to lunch in lower downtown Denver at a place that has a Kentucky Derby party. Sunday we are going out for High Tea at the Brown Palace. To top it off, Sunday evening my girls are going to watch Masterpiece Theatre with me (they hate it, but it is part of their gift to me)

  Oh yes, and I will drop off some rose bushes for my dear mother.

  i should know this but have been really slack as of late....i think it was the late 50's maybe?

  i would like to know what wt they introduced this new light in.. i also wonder how they kept the rank and file under their control prior to the implementation of df and their loving ways of shunning.....anybody know?....prior to df rules wt may have been a cool place to hang out (not).... i guess you could get drunk, fool around, do drugs all without ramifacations...sounds as good as christendom even................................oompa.

  Not sure when it officially started, but with my 100 + JW relatives that have all made a career of being DF'ed and occasionally Reinstated, the first one to get the boot was 1966 for homosexuality. He paved the way for the rest of us.....

  Songs that remind you of your Mum . . .

  i remember my mum standing at the kitchen sink preparing little cypriot meat patties in a beat up enamel dish.

  there was a window overlooking the small garden where me and my brother and sisters used to play (wonderful, wonderful times before the cult got its tentacles into our family).. my mum used to sing lots of tunes but this lynn anderson song is the one i remember .

  it was a beautiful, sunny day.

  i was in the supermarket doing an early morning shop when i see an old friend of the family, a jw sister.. she asked me if i'd gone to the memorial and i told her no.

  she said that the end is so close what with all the earthquakes and brother truthseeker, you need to come back to jehovah otherwise you will die and so will your children.

  i recently informed my wife of 25 years (the love of my life) that i just cannot go on any longer with this facade.

  She will be just fine - Stick to your plan - no weeknight meetings - let her know you mean business. There comes a time when we cannot enable our witness family anymore.
