Do not get baptized!. You can never, ever undo the ugly consequences that JW baptism brings. -

GEOFFREY JACKSON and the JUNCTION of DYSFUNCTION
by Terry inin the land of the blind the one-eyed man is king.. _____________________.
in the watchtower society, there is a point where heaven and earth meet.. 100+ years of historical evidence will show it is a junction of dysfunction; a mental construct; a shadow of imagination indwelling like a spirit of possession.. the shaman who invoke this shadow spirit are seven men in number; an elite cadre of self-described anointed kings and priests whose ultimate destination is heaven itself.. or so they are eager to insist!.
while cloaking themselves in the ragged raiment of mere slaves, their actions, words and deeds betray this subterfuge.

His words were stern. They were also flat and cold, not unlike a coiled serpent on stone, concealed in shadows.
Perfectly said Terry! Especially when asked if the disfellowshipping arrangement could ever possibly be changed. His compassionate, Christ like manner manifested itself in his loving reply......NO

I watched Mr. Jackson last night with my super cult minded parents
by Magwitch ini have seen some ask on this site how the active jw's are handling what is happening in australia.
here is my little experience from last night........ my parents were baptized in the late 30's as children and have never faltered in their determination to survive the great tribulation and live forever in paradise (even though they actively associate with all their df'ed kids).
my father is still actively serving as an elder and my mother has always been by his side.

I have seen some ask on this site how the active JW's are handling what is happening in Australia. Here is my little experience from last night.......
My parents were baptized in the late 30's as children and have never faltered in their determination to survive the Great Tribulation and live forever in Paradise (Even though they actively associate with all their DF'ed kids). My father is still actively serving as an elder and my mother has always been by his side. They are old, but actually quite healthy and still mentally sharp. I really struggled with whether I wanted to share any of what is happening in Australia with them, but in the end, we all ended up in the family room last night with Papa's 60 inch TV and bowls of buttered popcorn.
We watched it up to the lunch break and I have to say my parents were almost giddy, they were so excited to be viewing this. My mom had her silver sword and was following along with all the scriptures. My father kept saying how beautiful every single scripture was....even a few tears of appreciation for this unexpected spiritual feast. They were jumping in and shouting out the answers to questions that Mr. Jackson was trying to get out of answering (they were totally oblivious to what Jackson was really doing - they just wanted to help him out a little). I heard things like "What an incredible witness to the world" and "Who else could answer like that from the bible?" and "These brothers that Jehovah is using are unbelievable" (Yeah...I can agree with that last one). More words of appreciation and talk of how different we are from the world, and the "TWOOF" and more "TWOOF"
So there you have it. A summary of what a couple of old JW's think of what is taking place in Australia. I kept quiet....it is not worth discussing at this stage in their life.

My personal favorite exchange last night was when they were discussing young people getting baptized. Jackson said he knows witnesses that were baptized as young as 11 and have stayed faithful to the organization all their life. Mr. Stewart replied something to the effect of........"Yes, isn't that because there is no way to leave?" -

Billy's comments to the RC #1 - "We always require at least two witnesses... except for when we don't."
by Billy the Ex-Bethelite ini'm still trying to catch up on the rc broadcast posted to youtube, and i haven't been able to keep up with everything discussed here about it.
however, there have been a few points that i wish i could submit.
repeatedly it has been stated that unless there is a confession, jcs can only act on testimony if it is corroborated by two or more witnesses to the wrongdoing.

Article in New Yorker magazine
by InquiryMan ini guess this article will be appreciated within the jw community, being on the positive side when discussing blood transfusion.
it is the first of three articles to be published in that prestigious magazine.. http://www.newyorker.com/news/news-desk/how-jehovahs-witnesses-are-changing-medicine.

The recent Royal Commission hearings have stirred up my emotions ....
by troubled mind ini hope the royal commission will be able to force the jw organization to take a serious look at itself ,and will cause some much needed changes.. i have been following the trial faithfully ,and unfortunately it has dredged up some deep pains from years ago .
you think some of that old baggage is neatly packed away never meant to see the light of day again .....but then boom there it is again .. hearing what bcg had to go through, and how she felt trying to get help from the elders was heart-wrenching.
i remember the terrible way young women were treated in the 1970's .

Dear Troubled Mind....I so feel your pain. This whole Australian Commission has brought up old pain that I too thought was put away forever. When Angus said the words "Captive organization", it literally took the wind out of me. I started sobbing and choking almost uncontrollably. These were my first tears in many, many years. -

Why did Mr. Loesch feel it was justified to not appear in a court of law when his great depth of knowledge and understanding were very much needed? -

Questions Regarding All Those Lawyers
by Magwitch inapologies if this has been addressed elsewhere.. has every elder called to the stand had his own personal attorney?
it certainly appears this way.
if this is the case, how are they able to afford this?

Thank you Mephis. That makes sense. It is interesting that Baker has his own personal attorney. I wonder if that is at his own expense.
