My Mom Is Dying

she is on morphine and hanging on.
she has been a devout witness for about 60 years and a wonderful mother.

the bethel family in london is to be cut by several hundred.
my impression is that most ambitious youngster in the org dream of being involved with the building program.

Latest rumor - all WT construction "suspended", except for Warwick
by sir82 inheard 4th-hand, but from a full-on believer, so not likely to be an "apostate lie":.
apparently, at bethel's morning worship this morning, it was announced that all worldwide wts construction is "suspended" for an indefinite time, except for the new world headquarters at warwick.. also, the "relocation" of remote translating teams is also suspended.. finally, there will be a "worldwide" reduction in bethel personnel.. all this came to me in a non-english language, and,as noted, 4th-hand.
so it is possible something may have been lost in translation and/or in the multiple steps between bethel morning worship & me.. but if true, it would be quite stunning.

How to evade questions from elders when you stop going out door to door
by Olivia Wilde indue to circumstances right now i cannot leave permanently the watchtower, however i need honest advice of what to say when elders question me how come im not meeting the group out for door to door & going out in " field service"... what would be proper responses not to draw suspicions since i'm aware of ttatt.. .any serious advice please...

Two JWs visited
by Listener ini just had two female jws visit, one in their 30s and the other about 20. .
they invited me to their convention to learn about jesus, they said it is three days long but i don't need to attend every day and she highlighted one session at 11.15am where i could learn about jesus.. i said to her that i wouldn't be interested in attending the convention because i believed what a man called rutherford said about religion being a snare and a racket.
they wanted to know who this rutherford guy was and after explaining knew who i was talking about.

we were the righteous and enlightened ones... and they were lost in outer darkness.
just dont look at them was the standard response to their unwelcome presence..

I am not angry at the years I was a JW, but I am furious that I could not quietly walk away when I realized it was all a lie. They harassed and hounded and hunted me down like a wild animal for two years. And when I refused to meet, answer phone calls or sign their endless certified letters they finally DFed me. -

London Bethelites Are Agitated!
by The Searcher ina source has informed me that a relative who's in london bethel has said that a number of bethelites there are very uncomfortable and embarrassed because the branch has received "quite a few letters" querying why members of the governing body were wearing flashy rings and jewellery on some of the monthly broadcasts, but on the broadcast when the g.b.
asked for more money from the congregations - their gold and jewellery was not on display!.
will probably emerge one day wearing sackcloth, begging for yet more donations..

Has anyone asked older Jdubs how they feel about the GB annointed getting younger?
by sherrie11 ini was married to a 30 year old jw back in the 90's and he claimed to be of the annointed.
he partook at the memorials and all the elders and older jdubs didnt believe him.
they actually gave him a really hard time.

Every "Anointed" member of JWdom that I have know in the last 30 years has been 100% flippin' nuts! The very first JW anointed people used to be a group that thought deep and wanted something more intelligent than what Christendom had to offer. They were curious about this new religion and devoured books that required thought. Now it is just a bunch of wackos reading picture brochures and watching Sophie cartoons while waiting for their rapture.
