  one thing i've never understood is judicial committees.

  yes, i understand it's held to see if elders should go through with the disfellowshipping process.

  but why give them all the power?

  They invited me to my committee meetings by sending me 3 separate registerd letters (3 different meetings, two different committees) I never signed and absolutely never showed. They finally just DFed me.

  The shunning has started and... I like it!

  so not having turned in a time-slip in a loooooooong time and making fewer and fewer meetings, and from time to time attending a local church service... the majority of local dubs are overtly shunning me.

  there are those who i talk to and who visit our home from time to time, but this last meeting i went to hardly anyone made eye contact, when i greeted folks passing by me, they ignored me.

  it actually felt good.. i was surprised at my reaction.

  I have been DF'ed a decade and often forget that I am. I frequently see a "sister" in the store and I think "Oh Sh**, I don't want to have to commiserate with that old bore." And then I see them hurriedly rushing away from me as fast as possible and I remember ," oh yes, I am DF'ed - How absolutely lovely in every possible way"

  Can’t cope with being disfellowshipped…..Need some advice

  this site is great, i have been lurking for a while now.

  but i can’t get reinstated and have used some of the advice already given.. i was df’d many months ago and go to all the meetings and do all the preparation for the meetings, but the jc committee keep refusing me.

  tomorrow at the clam meeting i am puting yet another letter in and will be called for another dreadful jc meeting.. 1. what can i say to the elders to show that i am truly repentant?.

  You probably should avoid mentioning to the elders that you believe in hell fire and that god is imperfect. It may be counterproductive.

  i really felt for you sisters i mean i really did.

  when you showed up at the sunday meeting and found out the subject of the talk was going to be -and i can't quite remember the exact wording- but something to the effect of marriage and headship, or honoring and obeying your husband, or something like that how many of you wanted to jump right back in your car and head home.

  i mean 45 straight minutes of beating down you poor ladies and telling you that you are not worthy of making one decision, taking the lead in anything, don't question the man be obedient and keep quiet.

  how about that snot nose 16 year old kid that you used to watch crawl around the kingdom hall. Now that little shit has gotten baptized and now he's telling you what to do

  You hit a nerve Darryl. My ex husband studied with that snot nosed teenage kid, even bringing him to baptism....All the while, he was constantly in my home. I cooked and cleaned for the little punk and entertained him on a regular basis so he would feel part of a family. He was a little slow, but I loved him like one of my own. Fast forward 15 years and he was on the committee that disfellowshipped me. I had no idea the pimply kid had even hit puberty.

  There was a thread on this site a number of years back that talked of this subject. I remember reading about one instance where the paramedics were called to the KH to assist a dying JW and a sister in the audience started handing tracts to the paramedics and witnessing to them (all while the meeting continued on)
  

  Another example of witnesses refusing to interrupt a meeting was back in the 70's in Chicago. The PO was Norman Zenke and he needed to give an additional announcement to the MS who was announcing the weekly announcements from the platform at that very moment. Instead of walking up and handing the MS his little piece of paper with the new announcement, he gets on his hands and knees and crawls up to the stage and stretches out his arm to give said announcement to speaker, and then crawls on hands and knees back to seat.
