  I have selected Excel B for testing what rates are available and what is the process. On first glance seems that rich JWs have snapped the 4 star hotels near the venue since no rooms are available.

  

  
  

  
  

  Unfortunately the special rates are not available – Had to change the booking to 3 people (2 adults and One Child in order to get a view of all available rooms):

  
  

  And a family of three (2 adults and 1 child) have to shell £327 (US$ 494)

  First test not a good deal due to availability and shockingly the provided price by the the branch the hotel are £100 and £120 whereas booking without the code is £109 which is in between.

  Clicking on any of these cards will open a list of approved hotel. And the person attending should be using the instructions provided: Booking via link, Telephone or email. As shown below form the Help:

  The only cheapest option is a Travelodge, which is like a motel (room only style) with anything extra to be paid for. All other near ones are above £100 per night.

  London Conventions 2015 - NO TWICKENHAM

  just got news from a friend that yesterday a letter was read in their congregation announcing new locations for the regional conventions in london.. the main item was no twickenham in 2015.. their congregation is assigned to excel london (need to confirm since he was not 100% sure).

  i will update this when i get more information tonight.. .

  I did not hear the announcement myself. Once i get more information is will post it.

  Bigger venue: i doubt. Better seating: Anything is better than a rugby ground plastic back breaking seats with treacherous stairs!

  Interesting point, Better Multimedia: I presume so since it will be indoors better lighting and clearer sound and visual - if this years convention is similar to last years, then i presume similar amount or more video broadcasts.

  for non British readers.

  Twickenham is a football ground that all London conventions used to be held there since 1960s.

  Seems they are asking lots of money or WTS is not making enough money out of it, i meant JWs not contributing much.
  

  ExCel is an indoors conference centre. And seems 25,000 JWs will be distributed around London for their Convention.

  just heard of a congregation who has announced a saturday afternoon get-together at an elder's home - to let those who don't have the internet watch the jw tv monthly shows!!!!.

  Same in our congregation is happening!

  Last month only 4 people turned up at the brothers house, i think it was more for the food and drink rather to watch.

  If he offers alcoholic drinks i may go also!

  Congregation that have sent in money!

  in the past week, i have heard from a number of friends scattered all over the place.

  a number of them are very upset over the congregation being required, to send in all monies over $4,000.

  a number of these were kh's that were saving to buy land, and or build new kh's.

  Although the letter was read in the UK, i have been to several congregations and noticed on their notice board the financial statement with big sums of money (£20,000+) still in their congregation bank account.

  
  So is this arrangement only for USA congregations. And in Europe or specifically UK they can not pull something like this?

  Experience in a talk

  last week we had an elder giving a talk, cant remember the title.. the thing that was of interest is the experience he gave:.

  "a brother who was working in a hospital had to leave his job which was paying him good money because the nurses wanted to sleep with him and they kept putting notes for him on his desk!".

  this is not the first time i hear similar experience.

  This is not the first time i hear similar experience. A brother or sister at work had their colleagues (at least of them) wanting to have sex with them.

  In what world do these people live. I have worked for several years in a "Worldly (tm)" job, and not a window cleaner and never had any work mate female or male approach me to have sex with me.

  I might be an ugly person, what about my wife. She is nice looking, and never had any of her managers wanting to have sex with her!
  

  I have heard JWs fucking each other more than than i have heard there was relations between work colleagues.

  When would the WT stop giving false experiences or unrealistic ones.

  These days if a person gives a wrong look at work, you will sitting in a disciplinary HR meeting risking your job!

  In my experience, had couple JCs, there was not specific setting and it was always 3 elders with notes.

  As long as you know how the system works, you can 80% of times get out of it with just either public reprove or few months of restrictions.

  Or throw the whole case out of the window due to insufficient or contradicting evidence and the person reporting you gets in trouble!
