  Please help non jw in love with a studying jw

  i was engaged to a man and was pregnant last year we lived in different states for awhile when he started studying jw without even telling me.

  he lied to me about why he couldn't move with me and after 5 months he finally did then out of nowhere he went back to georgia and hid his relationship with a female jw needless to say they got married.

  when i ofund out by calling around he told me it was for convience not love and that he would divorce her he was having alot of problems and didn't want to hurt me.

  This guy is a LOSER , He will bring nothing but heartache and pain to your precious child. By the way it isn't because of the religion that he is a loser it is all the other factors as pointed out by ynot. The fact that he is involved with the JWs is just icing on the cake.

  Then do not critique others for being out of step with the Faithful and Discreet Slave. You pick and choose yet critisize others for posting anti witness rhetoric. You are disingenous. Why do you not post on a pro JW forum that is sanctioned by the Faithful and Discreet Slave ? Oh thats right there are none. The Faithful and Discreet Slave frowns on independent research of the bible. That should set off all sorts of bells and whistles if you are earnest in your pursuit of bible discussion. Please tell me why are you here ? Consience matter ? That is not what the big shots in the witnesses would call it. The very fact you come on an apostate site makes you an apostate in their eyes. Ray franz got Disfellowshipped for eating a meal with one who was disfellowshipped. I wonder how they would view your continued participation in theologic discussion with those of us who are disassociated. Thats right they would shunn you also.

  Oh and by the way with regards to this comment you made "In the end some on here haven't been witnesses for 20+ years and yet it is still a focal point of their lifes" That is the whole purpose of this site to help those that are recovering from the damage that the WTBS has done to find mutaul support.

" you claim that you are in step with the Faithful and Discreet Slave, so how do you reconcile your continued participation here? The fds tell you not to participate in "apostate" websites yet you are here. At least the rest of us are honest. You are a hypocrite.

  This site by your own admission renaiaa presents " hmmm since it comes from a deeply biased stand point proved by the completely negative spin without let up ... It is done for one purpose only and that is to prejudice the reader to the wt's" Is not the definition of what the WTBS declares "apostate information" the same ? You trying to rationalize your participation is laughable and disingenuous. Either you believe in the all the WTBS tenants or you don't. Is not their rule Reniaa? (there are many examples here where they have shunned others for disagreeing with just one teaching of the FDS) Since you profess that you indeed do believe in the tenants of the WTBS I again ask why are you here? This board is not a study of Wt Literature, This board in large part is meant to provide support to those of us that have decided that the WTBS is wrong.

  edit : again you lie " a Jw I was never taught to memories wt and quote it as " not only are you encouraged to do so the governing body does so (COC makes this point eloquently)

  MEMORIAL SHOCK!!!!

  last year in my cong (well it's not really "my cong" as i'm just "in" for the sake of family) we had a new "partaker of the emblems".

  it came as a shock because this man was only baptized in 2005.. his wife has been a dub from birth.. he was 63 when he got baptized, took "auxilliary" pioneer after 1 month...became a full-time pioneer after a year....became ms after 2years...made an elder 6 months later.....2008 he got "anointed"....we were all surprised at the amount of time he took to climb the jw corporate ladder....rumours are that he donated a car to our po when he (po) lost his job, and some other favours( this man is wealthy).... .

  i'm looking forward to be "just an observer" at this year's memorial in my cong (i am thinking of partaking myself, but i sure would rather not,the "bread" is tasteless and the wine is of poor quality,...i don't wanna throw out at the ms serving the emblems)..... back to that man,...how long would it take him to become a gb member?.

If you realy believe that what they say is the truth, you are violating their policy with regards "apostate" sites. If you do not believe in all their policys you are just a MB troll.

  i recently met a woman here at work (a contractor) and discovered she is an ex-jw.

  eventually we got around to telling why each of us left the religion.

  she said the main reason for her was not doctrines, but because she was tired of the physical and emotional abuse she received.

  I am the victim of abuse inspired by the witnesses and have no doubt in my mind that they are responsible for condoning and encouraging child abuse. My heart bleeds for all those that have had to endure the physical and emotional torture that this cult teaches its members to perpetrate. Do not minimize the religions responsibility. Many of us undergo emotional scarring that effects us for a lifetime.
