Do not listen to the non medical advice regarding statins. Once a course of treatment with statins is started it is usually a lifetime course of treatment. (the only exception is if you exibit serious side effects ie poor liver function etc) By the way there are many more serious side effects than muscle cramping, these include liver and kidney damage.

Medical People: Lipitor vs Zocor (Simvastatin)? Which do you recommend??
by AudeSapere ini know we have a good representation of medically-trained people on this board so i want to put out this question:.
when treating a person with high cholesterol, which do you prefer: lipitor or zocor (simvastatin)?
if a person begins treatment with lipitor, is it necessary to use it for the rest of that person's life?

I am considering to get a sofa bed for extra company in the future
by asilentone ini have tried sofa beds in the past, they are awful, but i would not be surprised if the quality of sofa beds has improved ever since.
any suggestions where to get comfortable sofa beds?
thanks!

ou might consider some of the higher end futons I bought one for company and i have found it far superior to sofa beds. The high end futons look just like a couch and the matresses contain a more confortable matress for sleeping

I have defeated almost every thing around here. I might as well just start posting some Bible articles to count this time
Hmm Bane I see you still are boasting and attempting to make your point in a disrespectful manner. You claim to follow the bible ,yet you seem to ignore what 1 Peter 3:15says.
But sanctify the Christ as Lord in YOUR hearts, always ready to make a defense before everyone that demands of YOU a reason for the hope in YOU , but doing so together with a mild temper and deep respect.
You have clearly demonstrated your disregard for this scripture .Perhaps you should go and confess to the elders your sin Bane.
By the way Bane, the bible contains no articles only scriptures.

Bane you worry me. I do not mind you arguing your point (as long as you attempt to make your argument logical) however what you have posted in this thread is nothing more than name calling and illogical rhetoric. Surely you can make a more concise coherent argument in defense of your position. I pride myself as being open minded. So please, logically present your beliefs. Only those who are loosing an intellectual argument must resort to name calling. It demonstrates a lack of true conviction in your beliefs if you can not defend them in a logical manner. By the way using circular reasoning is a hallmark of one who lacks the knowledge to defend his position.

I don't have to accuse them in a court of law since they have already lost a case in court regarding fraud and their sale of ‘Miracle Wheat . So yes I am prepared to go to court if they are willing to challange my allegation of the fraud they commited in this example since definitive proof is already been accepted in a court of law. I told you to be careful how you answered. Ray never claimed he was not making any money from his book (hence no financial fraud) The witnesses under Russell made fraudulent claims about this wheat for financial gain. You don't believe me? Here is an article in a brooklyn paper detailing what happened.
Miracle Wheat
$1 Per Pound
The Eagle’s story, based on an ad Russell placed in his Watch Tower publication for wheat seed the growth of which would supposedly be miraculous, was a sensation but resulted in a lawsuit — one that the Eagle won! This is a reprint of the article in part:“After the ‘work’ had been well started here, ‘Pastor’ Russell’s Watch Tower publication advertised wheat seed for sale at $1.00 a pound [quite expensive in those days].
“It was styled ‘Miracle Wheat,’ and it was asserted that it would grow five times as much as any other brand of wheat.
“There were other claims made for the wheat seed, and the followers were advised to purchase it, the proceeds to go to the Watch Tower and be used in publishing the ‘pastor’s’ sermons.
“The Eagle first made public the facts about these new ventures of the Russellites and it published a cartoon picturing the ‘Pastor’ and his ‘Miracle Wheat’ in such a way that ‘Pastor’ Russell brought suit for libel, asking $100,000 damages.
“Government departments investigated the wheat for which $1.00 a pound was asked, and agents of the Government were important witnesses at the trial of the libel suit in January, 1913.
“The ‘Miracle Wheat’ was low in the Government tests, they said. The Eagle won the suit.” Relevant articles appeared in The Brooklyn Daily Eagle in the month of January 1913. The titles and their dates were:
1/1: Miracle Wheat Scandal
1/22: Testimony of Russelite Beliefs
1/23-24: Testimony on ‘Miracle Wheat’
1/25: Financial statements proving Russell’s absolute control were made by [Watch Tower] Secretary-Treasurer Van Amberg who was quoted as saying, “… We are not responsible to anyone for our expenditures. We are responsible only to God.”Russell’s 99%
Some Jehovah’s Witnesses these days may wish to minimize the significance of the “Miracle Wheat” claiming that the profits from its sales went to the Watchtower Society and not to Russell himself. However the records show that Russell owned 990 of the 1,000 shares of Watchtower Society stock. By this figure, 99% of every “contribution” for Miracle Wheat” was in effect a contribution to Russell himself. -

Since 5/18/2010Hi Wiser
2 Thessalonians 3:14
If anyone does not obey our instruction in this letter, take special note of him. Do not associate with him, in order that he may feel ashamed. This is from the NIV what is Paul saying here?
Hi sharah
Jesus told his apostles to wipe their feet from the dust of those that didn't believe. The apostles told us the following about unbelievers.
2 Corinthians 6:14
Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?Interesting debator you use these two scriptures to justify not associating with unbelievers, yet you frequently engage in debate/ associate with us on this board. Rather hypocritical of you !!!

Interesting experience on SL...JeHOvah's Witness and I have an encounter
by mindmelda ini go to a women's discussion group on sl, second life, which is a virtual community where you do all sorts of things, including entertainment, discussion groups, media, and just socializing through the use of animated avatars which can be quite realistically human or whatever you want them to be, really, aliens, elves, dragons, vampires, etc.. anyway, a woman there brought to the discussion a situation where she had her real life husband wants to divorce her for a witness woman he had met..and get this...she had come to his door after the couple separated and offered him a bible study, and apparently instead, it turned into a romance and then, according to the woman, her husband and this woman are hitting the sheets.
(you're not supposed to call on the opposite sex alone, and do doubt this is one reason...too many lonely witness women who'd jump on the first piece of dude they meet!
lol).

I work at the closest hospital to Bethel and have seen the ambulance many times. Interesting side point one of the Dr,s who agreed to to bloodless surgury, on a witness from bethel ,was actually sued for post surgical complications. He vowed never to agree to treat another witness .
