first up, happy new year .

hi everyone, ok i guess this is controversial, but im doing it as therapy for me - so im not bitter about the way i was raised.

plus i want to see if i can be the op of an "epic thread"!!.

My memories of growing up as A JW where horrible I am afraid. I do miss family members that I have not spoken with in years and a couple of childhood friends.

Why I`m not against the death penalty....one reason...their are more

you have all read in newspapers , heard it on tv, radio ,of the 23 year old indian woman student who was gang raped recently by no less than 10 men on a bus then severely beaten with an iron bar and then thrown off the bus in singapore and has since died of her injuries .. those perpretrators of that crime are deserving of the death sentence in my book .. if you willfully take a life or ,are a party to it ,you automatically forfeit your own life .that`s my philosophy .. what`s yours.

If the death penalty was equally applied I would have no issues with it. I am disturbed that the wealthy are much less likely to recieve the death penalty than the poor. I am equally disturbed that statistics point to minorities are more likely to be sentenced to death than others.

They did not allow me to question what they professed. I saw hipocracy . I saw them break up families. I saw them condone abuse.

Why don't you allow members with perfect meeting attendance, special seating during the week of special activity? I hate it when the old stay-at-home cripples suck up the premium seats, reserved for spot-less Jehovah's Witnesses.

I think from this comment that you want special treatment for being a spotless JW. I hate to tell you that in spite of what you have rationalized your words betray that you are no better than anyone else. As a matter of fact you are anything but the model of proprietry you claim to be.

I think Jehovah is punishing them for talking to disfellowshiped witnesses!

I hope you really do not believe that. You are deeply troubled. Being happy that your mother is dying? Be careful what you wish for. You may regret your attitude in the future.
