I refer back to my original statistics (you just proved my point) 1 gun to 4 canadians represents a rate of gun ownership of roughly one third what the rate of gun ownership in the US is.

This is what I said in my PM. When you use terms associated with a particular science ie statistics it leads the reader to believe that what you are writing can be backed up by using the reference science and it's methodology. Although you later said you could be wrong (I commend you for this) Your original statement contained no such disclaimer.
When ever you speak in per capita you are speaking in statistical terms. Per capita is a statistical ratio. I included the definition in order to enlighten you not to argue. You will weaken your position when you use facts not in evidence. I in fact agree with some of your hypothesis, however use facts that can be supported in order to prove your point. The statistics that i quoted where for all guns long guns and hand guns.

Just a point of information the following is a definition of per capita
Per capita is Latin for "Per head". Per capita is a Latin prepositional phrase: per (preposition, taking the accusative case, meaning "by, by means of") and capita (accusative plural of the noun caput, "head"). The phrase thus means "by heads" or "for each head", i.e. per individual/person. The term is used in a wide variety of social sciences and statistical research contexts, including government statistics, economic indicators, and built environment studies.
It is commonly and usually used in the field of statistics in place of saying "for each person" or "per person". [1]

"Recovery- I didn't quote any gun statistics, therefore my alleged "statistics" cannot be incorrect."
Don't call me Shirley This is the statistic you posted. I am quoting you directly
"Actually, per capita, Canadians own as many guns as Americans."

Don't call me shirly your statistics regarding fire arm ownership per capita are incorrect. I have include a link that shows that people in the Us own almost 3 times the guns that Canada does per capita

BEAT that Child!
by Farkel inthis is sort of a continuation of threads on dubs and how they are conditioned to discipline their children.
someone questioned whether the society actually encouraged dubs to whup their children.
i only had enough time to dig up a few salient quotes from the wt magazine.

I used to hate going to the beach or to gym class (you had to change into gym close and you could see the welts and bruises) Yep parents thought that god wanted them to beat me with a razor strap.

I am so sad. My niece was not raised a witness . My sister did not believe in the wt (much to my father's chagrin). My neice lived a normal life free from the wt even though many of my family members where witnesses. She is educated and has alwys been a leader not a follower. I can't believe that now that she is a grandmother she would fall for their tall tales. She just recently got baptized. It seems to be a pattern in my family. They seem to turn to the wt in their later years can someone please explain this to me? The sad part is I think that if I knew about the truth about the wt before my father had died I could have shown him that it was a crock. My father was an intelliget man.
