i was today at the assembly and the drama was inspired by my story.

i was pictured as the former elder who influences badly on the congregation by saing "now when it has been so widely preached in our territory it is time to concentrate on helping poor people.

then back to sweden to the russian group where i was about 7 years.

Here is my letter to the Governing Body in December 2007, wich inspired the drama: The letter i wrote: To the Governing Body From Jan Kosonen Dear brothers, I would like to share my knowledge and skills with you, to encrease The Lord's properties and his servant's joy. I am 33 years old. I work as a carpenter. I'm married. My wife is 34 years old. We have 4 children, 2 boys and 2 girls. I left school after 9 years elementary school, became a pioneer when I was 15 years old, I was pioneer for 5 years. I grew up in a finnish congregation in Sweden. When I became a pioneer I started to join the english-speeking congregation. Later I became a member there and a ministerial servant. When I was 19 I went to Latvia in 1994. I had saved money and studied russian for 10 months. I was there for a year and some months. Then 3 months in Estonia. Then a year in the russian group in Sweden. Then back to Latvia for a year and a half. Then back to Sweden to the russian group where I was about 7 years. During that time I have conducted bookstudy groups, had a lot of programs at meetings, translated assembly and meeting programs to russian, had I think all kind of practical assignments for ministerial servants, also had some responsibilities that elders usualy have. I have also had a joy to find an intrested person and to study the bible with him and he got baptised after 6 months and he became a pioneer after a short while. Now he is back in Russia. And my oldest daughter is also a publisher, she is 11 years old. I have always tried to help people, so for about two years different people and a family have lived with us in our 3 room apartment. I have helped serval persons to get a work at my wordly bosses smal company. 6 of them work there now and they have helped 5 others to join us. So now we are 12 of wich 6 are baptised brothers, 5 intrested, 1 may be intrested. Now I am in a Swedish congregation, named Skärholmen, and recently i became convinced that I have got the heavenly call, and become anointed with the holy spirit. For 3 years ago I was unemployed and I used the free time in Jehovah's service. I read the bible through in about 3,5 months and I got a real spiritual uplift. I became able to prepare to all meeting programs, read all the litterature. It was for the first time in my life I managed to do that. It felt like I had understud and learnt for 3 months more than I had for 17 years before that since my baptism. But I was worried how I would continue to pray and read the Bible 10 pages a day when I get a work, and not to lose that spiritual level. Then I got different works and I could not continue with the same spiritual program, not until now for approximately a months. When I was unemployed I even checked all the scriptures when I prepared for the meetings. But now when I prepare to the meetings with my family I can not check so many scriptures. But now when I have been studing the bible so intensly by prayer, Jehovah has open my eyes to understand many things more deeply and more exaclty, and I would like to share with you with the increasing knowlege, so that all God's people could rejoice in understanding more and know how to do God's will more productively, increasing His intrests on earth. I would like to wright to You about themes like: Establishment of Gods kingdom Great tribulation Time of heavenly resurection Earthly Jerusalem Man of Lawlessness, Anticrist Womens role at meetings Families importance in last days How to plan your life for young people How to increase bible knowledge and love for Jehova God and Jesus Crist. How to make preaching and meeting programs more effective to reach the gools for them. The role of anointed brothers and sisters in God's congregation And other themes I would also be happy to be invited to work at the headquarters with you to give spiritual food to God's people and to do practical works. Of course I can not leave my family so they would need to come with me. Reflections on the assembly - please help!!!!

good morning,.

one of the two district assemblies was this past weekend in hampton va and my wife was very excited to attend, but she only attended about 1.5 hours on friday and then i attended the morning session with her on saturday.

not sure how these number compare with past years, but about 5200 folks were in attendance (by their count) and it appeared that about 20 folks were going to be baptized.. here are couple of my thoughts on what i heard, i kept notes, but they were in my wife's binder, so was unable to grab them this morning.. most of the speakers i heard slammed higher education....and they tried to tie that back to the bible, that was sort of a reach if you ask me...wasn't luke involved with medicine in some way??.

How do you now interpret the Lords Prayer?

for those of you that have survived and come through the great tribulation of having been a member of the wts and still have a faith in god, how do you now interpret the lords prayer?.

just what do you think jesus meant when he said "thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven"?.

God's will to take place in heaven? That's first of all that Satan would be cleansed out from there. I believe he is not yet thrown down. Then to begin the heavenly ressurection. I do not believe it has yet begun. God's kingdom to begun it's reign from heaven. That's what we should ask for. The problem still is I believe, Jehovah God has not yet could take from every nation anointed slaves to be kings. So we can ask him change the world so that the good news could be preached in all the world. besides talking about the great tribulation and using it to scare the rank and file that it is coming real soon, when was the last watchtower study that dealt with this subject in - depth?.

i think it was somewhere in the nineties.

anyone remember and know when the watchtower did an in - depth study on this teaching?.

I like the oldiest expanations to the GT. It's funny that they thougth that the great tribulation started when they believe Satan was hurled down to earth, in the beginning of WW1. This is similar as I think now, the only difference that I don't believe Satan has been throw yet to earth. But it will happen of course sometimes in the future.

I believe the generation-time begins with the great tribulation. Satan is hurled down for a short period of time. Revelation 12 and Daniel talks about 1260 days and those who arrive to 1335:th will be happy. So, the generation will be short.

I believe the great tribulation will come when Satan will be hurled to earth. It will be 3 and half years of very tuff times. Many anointed will be killed. The woman (a great croud with some anointed will be in the wilderness) Then shortly afterward the battle at Armageddon occures. I was tought since childhood that JWS do not pray Lord's prayer, because we are not allowed to repeat the same thing over and over again. They have said we should not anymore pray that His will take place in heaven because it has already taken place there. So infact they do not want you pray this prayer. They want everybody stop pray this prayer. What will be the result? If all stop pray this prayer, this prayer will not be answered, God's will will not take place, His Kingdom will not come, His name will not be sanctifyed.

I hope you and everybody will continue to pray Lord's Prayer and I am sure our Lord will appreciate that.

What goals do JWS have now?

after being the org for years and years, one becomes accustomed to jw activties, weekly meetings, assbly, etc... it becomes a habit, a routine, and something that as a jw ,you just do.

but one time jws had "spiritual goals" full time sevice, positions in the org.

do jws still have such goals ?

It should be to become anointed. Seek first the kingdom. Unfortunately almost nobody understands that of the members.

Are we living in the Last Days?

have you ever thought why apostle paul do not mention wars, pestilence, earthquackes, famine when he talks about the last days?

or why apostle peter only says, that in the last days ridiculers will come, asking were is his promised presence, and that from the beginning all remains exactly the same?

and why does peter not say: look at the wars, but says: all has not been the same, because a flood occured.

Have you ever thought why Jesus talked about the sign of the conclusion and his presence, but not of the last days? (Matthew 24:3)

Therefore I believe the last days do not refer to the same time as the conclusion of the system of things and his presence. First will be the last days. Then in the end of the last days comes the conclusion of the system of things and in that time he will be present.

This conclusion will first have a period of 1260 days, and then a small unknown number of days. We can not know the exact number of days, otherwise we could get to know in beforhand the day of battle at Armageddon. Satan will be hurled down in the beginning of 1260 days. (Revelation chap 12, Daniel chap. 12. )
He will be in great anger because he knows he will have a short period of time. Some think this all happened 1914. But it has gone a long time. I do not know if we can call our days the last days, I do not hear people asking "where is His precence?", but we have been waiting for the new world since childhood, and it feels like a delay. That's exactly what Revelation 10:6 confirms about our time: A feeling of delay.

Prophecy: Peace and Security

We have surely heard that the old world can only get worse. But let's pray for peace and security. Would Jehovah God make the "old" world better by such prayers? In His word in 1Timothy 2:1,2 apostel Paul urges all christians to pray inbehalf of kings and every person in high position so that we could live a calm life with full Godly devotion. In fact they are God's public servants (Romans13:6) What about Satan, when the Bible says that the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one? (1John 5:19) There is no contradiction. God has the highest authority anyway. And when we pray in behalf of the authorities God will make them take good decisions, and prevent Satan to influence on them to much. I prayed before the elections in Sweden last time, that God would give Sweden good ministers and we got a new government and they have maid nice reforms and are planing for more. So, I believe that christians will by their prayers, make the world better, even to the point that the inspired prophecy in 1Thessalonians 5:3 about "Peace and Security" finaly gets its fullfillment. Zechariah 11:10 also indicates that there will be a time of peace, it mentions a covenant that God have with all the peoples, before the great tribulation.
