Prophecy is fulfilling. Donald Trump became president! And he is displaying the caracteristics written in the prophecies in Daniel. He is also the horn that has eyes and a mouth and speaks arrogantly. Soon he will start to persecute the holy ones as it is written in the prophecy and stop the daily sacrifice. In other words the Watchtower activity.

Is it exactly in time of Bible prophecy we live in?
by Kosonen inhellow everyone,.
could it be that the japanees nuclear disaster is fullfilling this bible verse: and a third of the waters turned into wormwood, and many of the men died from the waters, because these had been made bitter.
(revelation 8:11).

As time has past since I started this thread, it has become evident what the things in Revelation 8 were after those events I mentioned earlier. The oil rig disaster was really significant and of biblical proportions. Yes it was like a burning mountain that fell to the sea.
The next thing I was waiting for was this to happen:
Rev8:10The third angel blew his trumpet. And a great star burning like a lamp fell from heaven
And truely this happened. It was the famous Chelyabinsk meteor we could hear about in the news.
But I have no sure opinion on the Wormwood prophecy.
But then the verse 12 says the sun and moon and stars were darkened by a third.
That I understand to symbolize the hopelessness that started to spread on the world after the previous event.
Because after the downfall of the Chelyabinsk meteor the relations between Russia and USA got much worse. Because Russia annexed Krimea.
There are more things that have been fulfilled. The locust swarm for 5 months or 5 times 30 days. And the opening of the abyss. If somebody is interested I can explain how I understand that.

2015 Regional Convention (Cleveland, Ohio) - No accounts report read? No video about abuse?
by My Name is of No Consequence ini went to the convention this past weekend in cleveland with my wife and son.
most of the session was the status quo, but here are some of observations that i believe are worth noting: .
1. i did not see a lot of jw.org advertisements and the website was not mentioned a whole lot during the session.

I liked also the emphasis on Jesus at this convention. Surely the first time ever a drama with Jesus. Before he was not the focal point obviously.
Things started to move to the right direction, but it will take years for the holy place to be restored to its right condition. And the holy place could mean the Christian congregation, not necessarily the WT society. I mean I think it will cease to exist. It will be banned I think.
“How long will the vision of the constant feature and of the transgression causing desolation continue, to make both the holy place and the army things to trample on?” So he said to me: “Until 2,300 evenings and mornings; and the holy place will certainly be restored to its right condition.” Daniel 8: 13.14

Can Somebody here list All The Lies and Deceptions Given at the Royal Commission , By all the J.W.`s who Appeared ?
by smiddy ini am just wondering if somebody { who has been following the royal commission in australia can highlight all of the sleight of hand , deceptions , half truths , theocratic warfare tactics , misleading statements , untruths , omissions to the truth ,lying , feigned support for the victim , while not reporting her plight to the relevant authorities , etc.,etc.,} , can list these in one document , that would be a testament to anybody how culpable jehovah`s witnesses / wtb&ts are , in not protecting their own members , or members of the general public by not reporting such abuse to the relevant authorities ,when they had a duty to do so by law , not pertaining to mandatory reporting, but protecting the larger community .. ( i wish i wasn`t so old and had greater computer skills.).
smiddy.

Here are in 2 videos the entire questioning of br. Jackson from the GB.
It is totally 3 hours. I watched it through all yesterday.
It was quite boring. And Jacksons performing was not professional to my opinion. He tried several times not to answer questions directly, but the interrogators did not let him slipp a way from answering. That was irritating to me that he tried often to avoid to answer directly. Also the interrogators where little irritated on that. He was also confronted by scriptures that say that women should be silent in the congregation and scripture in proverbs about physical punishment of children and Jackson denied that it should be taken literally. The interrogators could not understand why you can't take those scriptures literally? I don't understand that either.
The interrogators tried to make Jackson admit that the governing body requires total obedience of the branches and congregation, but Jackson tried to obscure that, instead he tried to make impression that the whole organization willingly follows their guidance.
This must be very humiliating for the governing body, to have to give testimony themselves.
l think this a part of fulfillment of the prophecy in Malachi 2: 9 :
“So I will make you despised and low before all the people, because you did not keep my ways but showed partiality in applying the law.”

I think this is also about what this same king will do. (There is even more in the Bible about this king.)
Daniel 11:36-39 The king will do as he pleases, and he will exalt himself and magnify himself above every god; and against the God of gods he will speak astonishing things. And he will prove successful until the denunciation comes to a finish; because what is determined must take place. He will show no regard for the God of his fathers; nor will he show regard for the desire of women or for any other god, but he will magnify himself over everyone. But insteadhe will give glory to the god of fortresses; to a god that his fathers did not know he will give glory by means of gold and silver and precious stones and desirable things. He will act effectively against the most fortified strongholds, along with a foreign god. He will give great glory to those who give him recognition, and he will make them rule among many; and the ground he will apportion out for a price.

In Daniel 7 is as I understand a paralell prophecy about this same last king. And the prophecy says this "horn" representing that king will speak arrogantly. That is a good sign to look for. Which politician is known to speak arrogantly who is runnung for the highest office? At this moment Donald Trump seems to be very similar to the description in Daniel. If that is the case it is both good and bad news. I am actually hoping that he will soon start to fulfill that prophecy, so I don't need to wait for an other candidate.
Here is what Daniel chapter 7 say about him and the time period:
Daniel 7:8 While I considered the horns, look! another horn, a small one, came up among them, and three of the first horns were plucked up from before it. And look! there were eyes like human eyes in this horn, and there was a mouth speaking arrogantly.
11 I kept watching at that time because of the sound of the arrogant words that the horn was speaking; I watched until the beast was killed and its body was destroyed and it was given over to be burned in the fire.
20 ...and the other horn that came up and before which three fell, the horn that had eyes and a mouth speaking arrogantly and whose appearance was bigger than that of the others.“I kept watching as that horn made war on the holy ones, and it was prevailing against them, until the Ancient of Days came and judgment was rendered in favor of the holy ones of the Supreme One, and the appointed time arrived for the holy ones to take possession of the kingdom.
25 He will speak words against the Most High, and he will continually harass the holy ones of the Supreme One. He will intend to change times and law, and they will be given into his hand for a time, times, and half a time.
According to the prophecy, he will harass the holy ones for time, times and a half time, in other words 3,5 years and then the kingdom of God comes.
That's the interesting part, what will happen to the WT org with its governing body in that time?

Do you recognize any politician that is already displaying such qualities?
Here is one of a few prophecies about him in Daniel 8:23-25
“And in the final part of their kingdom, as the transgressors act to a completion, a fierce-looking king who understands ambiguous sayings will stand up. His power will become great, but not through his own power. He will bring ruin in an extraordinary way,and he will be successful and act effectively. He will bring mighty ones to ruin, also the people made up of the holy ones. And by his cunning he will use deception to succeed; and in his heart he will exalt himself; and during a time of security he will bring many to ruin. He will even stand up against the Prince of princes, but he will be broken without human hand.

why didnt God just do this?
by sowhatnow infor one thing, i cant get past genesis, but no matter.. when god told adam and eve if you eat from the tree youll die.
so why did he not simple let them die and not allow the offspring to?.
you see, if i was a god, and i told two people that, id let them die , .

I don't think this would have solved the problem. Some of the kids would have rebelled anyway. And the wicked would hate the good. Like Cain hated Abel. Also think about the amount of angels that rebelled. That happened many years after the first sin. And they saw the results in the human but were not terrified to disobey God.
So I think God wanted satan to have his kingdom on earth, to make it evident what that would lead to, and also to show satan and everyone that even a sinful person can "hate" his sinfulness and wish to get rid of it and to completely conform to God's will.

For JWS: Do you believe Jesus or only what you are told about Jesus?
by Kosonen inthat's the question l would like to ask every jehovah's witness: do you believe jesus or do you only believe what you are told about jesus?
(by the watchtower?).
if you only believe what the watchtower or the governing body tell you about jesus with their selected quotes from the bible.then in fact you don't believe jesus.

Hi designs,Yes that's odd. Maybe that's because here in sweden in stockholm so few are religious and the witnesses have few encounters with active "christians" from other churches.
When I was in school only 2 of my classmates believed that God exists.

That's the question l would like to ask every Jehovah's witness: Do you believe Jesus or do you only believe what you are told about Jesus? (By the watchtower?)
If you only believe what the Watchtower or the Governing Body tell you about Jesus with their selected quotes from the bible. Then in fact you don't believe Jesus. But you are a believer of Governing Body.
l remarked a very strange thing about my wife and children who go regularly to jw meetings. My wife is active jw. First my 15 year son thought he was not christian because he is Jehovah's witness. Then some days later my 9 year daugther told about her classmates and told that some are christians and some are muslims. So I asked her: What about you, are you also christian? And l was amazed to hear her say that she is not christian but Jehovah's witness. And then my wife also confirmed that she doesn't regard her seIf to be a christian but Jehovah's witness.
So is that how Jehovah's witness feel about themselves? That they are Jehovah's witnesses but not christians.I told my wife if you don't feel you are christian then you are propably not a christian.
That's maybe the problem: If a jw only believes what GB tells about Jesus and does not dare to read the gospels and believe what Jesus really says. Then a jw is not really a cbeliever of Jesus but men like GB. And then a jw does not feel he or she is christian.Last edited by brotherjan; Today at 06:02 PM.
