The Presumption of Divine Appointment!

the watchtower society has frequently denied that they are divinely inspired prophets.

yet they demand they be considered as if inspired prophets, not even allowing the flock to question or have doubts about any of their teachings without coming under scrutiny.. .

similarly, many of our beloved active jws--although knowing full well we don't recognize the society as any sort of divinely appointed agency--still expect us to act as if they are.

The Bible plainly says " not to mixing in company with anyone that is a fornicator, Idolater or those commiting adultery. Not even speaking to such ones.

Now we know you think you know more than God by your comments. We should listen to you and not Gods word. Well many people have and that is why your religions have failed miserably.

you have even been convinced that it is OK to kill fellow christians in all the wars you fight.

Again the Bible tells us that it is easy to discern the children of Satan from the children of God. The children of God will love their brothers but the children of Satan will kill their brothers

Hmmmn..Intresting Convo with my DAD last NIGHT

so me and my father who is an elder get into yet another rather tense discussions about the bible .

and my new found "beliefs".

one of the things we discussed was my belief that the way we conduct studies... .

Now lets say you spent 50 years researching material and you have gathered a storehouse of information. Now this information will save millions of lives and you only have a short period of time to get it to everyone.

Well you could just tell everyone were to go look to find the information and they could take 50 yrs finding it like you did.

Or, you could put it in a book and save all these people alot of time searching. Now they are more than welcome to challenge your research or refuse it and they can do that on their on time. But you really want to save as many people as you can. Do you waste your time refuting everyone that challanges you or do you go after the those who trust your research.

So you see the dilemma, I challenged everything the JW's had to say and spent 30 yrs doing it just to find out they were right all along.

Tennasee- Witness man preaching to Goth Satanist gets family killed!!

watching the crime channell yesterday i saw a picture of a family that was murdered by teenage gothic satanists, i said to my self "they look like witnesses"...and they were!

one of the girls charged with murder said: "the man aproached me at the rest stop and asked me if i believed in god, he said he was a jehovah witness...." the four youth's are serving life in prison for shooting this man his wife and 2 kids.

the baby boy was shot in the eye but survived....they ran over the parents as they drove off in their van.

Hey, Christians were feed to the lions but they kept preaching. If you fear man then no one would preach about God. It is wise to be careful-cautious as a serpent and innocent as a dove is my rule of thumb.

my old hall was made up of mostly 3 large families, with some extended added in.

all seemed to be related in one way or another, several generations represented.. coming in from the world at the age of 28, i never really felt that i belonged there.

i stuck it out for 13 years.

When a person has experianced the true love of God they need not follow other men.( there is no stubbling block for the righteous one) If you look to man to make you happy you will always leave feeling let down. When you signed on to become a JW was there conditions attached to the promise you made God to serve him faithfully forever. If so, then you see why you left. Service to God is unconditional that is why we are called slaves of God.

I have been a JW for all my life and I am 48 yrs old. I have seen just about everything that could happen among JW's. I have read everything there is about JW's, studied many religions in my younger years and not one of them can compare to the Righteous worship that JW's offer.

All most always those who trash JW's don't use the Bible to defeat them. They use false accusations and lies. Even sadder they find where a JW has gone bad use that to support their beliefs.

Well if we look at every JW that has gone bad and used that as the standard to find true worship then I guess we can rule Jesus out since Judas went bad too. Then we can look at God himself, his two children in the garden went bad, does that make him bad also.

True worship of God is without conditions. All people are different and some are friendlier than others. ( stupid imperfection we are born with) but we keep running the race with or without them.

Why does guilt often remain so long with those who've left the JWs?

i would be interested in getting people's input in why so many jws - including me from time to time, though less so now - seem to be burdened by guilt after they've left, even after they've successfully faded and aren't being hassled by family or elders.

is it a residual leftover of the indoctrination over the years?

I could almost bet that when you left the JW's you didn't better yourself. You probably went down a path of sin and continued on that course.

Most people that do leave usually leave not to other religions, but they really want to live a life of sin and sinning will almost always leave you with guilt. Now if your heart has become harden to sin your guilt will go away. And when that happens you will be weclomed to all the other religions with opened arms. Misery loves company.
