BurnTheShips, thanks for a good response. By the way, I'm not a Seventh Day Adventist just to make it clear to everyone. I follow God according to His words, the Bible. Many people have used the verse Colossians 2:16 to prove that they do not have to observe any Feasts of God (Sabbath, Passover, Unleavened Bread, etc.). Let’s take a look at this verse to get an idea of why people would think that.
Colossians 2:16- “Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ.”
Now it is very easy to take this verse and say that we don’t have to keep any of God’s feasts if you don’t understand the context of this verse and also the second sentence of this verse.
At this time, Apostle Paul was speaking to Christians in Colosse. Colosse is located in present day Turkey and at the time, the Christians there were being persecuted because the popular beliefs at this time were influencing Christ’s teachings. Eastern mysticism and asceticism (belief that abstinence from certain physical activities such as eating or drinking will allow some sort of mind-body transformation) were the main philosophies that were intruding on Christ’s teachings.
Apostle Paul was not telling the Church of God in Colosse to stop keeping God’s feasts, he was telling the church not to let other people judge them because they keep God’s feasts.
Let’s confirm through the Bible. We have to see if Paul was really instructing the people not to keep God’s feasts.
Acts 17:2- “As his custom was, Paul went into the synagogue, and on three Sabbath days he reasoned with them from the Scriptures,”
Paul’s custom was to keep the Sabbath, he was in Thessalonica at this time for only three weeks so he was at this synagogue for only three weeks. Let’s see another verse for confirmation.
Acts 18:4- “Every Sabbath he reasoned in the synagogue, trying to persuade Jews and Greeks.”
Clearly keeping the Sabbath was a custom of Apostle Paul. However, was it just Apostle Paul’s custom?
Luke 4:16- “He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom. And he stood up to read. The scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him.”
Jesus Christ’s very own custom was to keep the Sabbath. Christ came to show us the example of how to worship God (John 13:15). Then we should in fact keep the Sabbath day because it God’s true day of worship.
Jesus kept the Sabbath 2,000 years ago, our Heavenly Father Christ Ahnsahnghong also kept the Sabbath, and now our Heavenly Mother continues to keep the Sabbath as an example for us.
Colossians 2:16 says that these feasts are a shadow of the things to come and that the reality is found in Christ. Jesus Christ kept the Sabbath and our Heavenly Father Christ Ahnsahnghong also kept the Sabbath. Then we must follow Christ who is the reality. One of the most important commandments in the bible is the Sabbath Day. The Sabbath day is the 7th day according to the bible.
Genesis 2:1-By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. And God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.
God only blessed the 7th day and not any other day. This is the day God promised to bless us, make us holy and give us spiritual rest. We cannot try to make ourselves holy with our own power. Only God can bless us and make us holy. Then what day should we go to God to receive all these promises? It says very clear- 7th day. It is a command of God!!
Exodus 20:8-8 "Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your manservant or maidservant, nor your animals, nor the alien within your gates. For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.
God said to remember the Sabbath day which is the 7th day of the week. Then what is the seventh day? If you look in the calendar and dictionary, the first day is Sunday and the seventh day is Saturday. Even through the Bible we can see that Saturday has always been the seventh day.
Mark 16:9-9When Jesus rose early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had driven seven demons.
Jesus resurrected on the 1st day of the week. Then, when do all Christians celebrate the resurrection of Christ? It is on Sunday isn’t it? It is because Jesus resurrected on Sunday, the first day of the week. Very clearly we can see that Sunday is not the seventh day.
We should not worship on Sunday when God does not promise any blessings. If we do, we will be worshipping in vain!
Mark 7:6 He replied, "Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites; as it is written: " 'These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men. You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to the traditions of men." And he said to them: "You have a fine way of setting aside the commands of God in order to observe your own traditions!
Sunday worship was not established by God. It was established by a man whose name is Constantine. If you look into the history of Christianity, you will see that Constantine appointed Sunday so that his god, the sun god, would be worshipped. Sunday worship (day of sun) was appointed by a man and not by God Almighty. God bless you all. -

wobble said "Surely Paul is writing this so that NO christian worshipper wears a covering ,especially one connected with Judaism, and so verse 15 says"For long hair is given to her as a covering" not a veil."
wobble, if you know better than the Bible, go ahead and delete that part that says clearly that woman must have her head covered when she prays or worship God. I didn't make this up. This is what the Bible testifies. God bless you wobble.

God bless you everyone. Thanks for you responses but I prefer to keep the "law of Christ" than you guys making your own opinion of how to worship God. A woman must have a veil when she prays and worship God. It shows that she is obedience in God's words, not the opinion of men on how to please God. Those who keep God's words are the ones who love Him.
Matthew 12:46-50 [While Jesus was still talking to the crowd, his mother and brothers stood outside, wanting to speak to him. Someone told him, "Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to speak to you." He replied to him, "Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?" Pointing to his disciples, he said, "Here are my mother and my brothers. For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother."]
Clearly, those who do the will of God are Jesus brothers and sisters. So if we follow God's commandments, we are doing the will of God and we are showing that we love Him according to the Bible. So many people I have met tell me the only thing they have to do to receive salvation is to Love God and Confess his name. But…. do you know what kind of Love God expects from you? Have you checked through the Bible what is the definition of Love in the eyes of God. It is written:
1 John 3:18-Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.
Then what kind of action does God want from us?
1 John 2:3-We know that we have come to know him if we obey his commands. The man who says, “I know him,” but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But if anyone obeys his word, God’s love is truly made complete in him. This is how we know we are in him: Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did.
1 John 5: 2- This is how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God and carrying out his commands. This is love for God: to obey his commands. And his commands are not burdensome
2 john 1:6- And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands.
John 14:15- If you love me, you will obey what I command.
Deutoronomy 5:10-… but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.
Deutoronomy 11:1- Love the LORD your God and keep his requirements, his decrees, his laws and his commands always.
John 14:21-21- Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him.”
John 15:10- If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father’s commands and remain in his love.
Why does God continue to say to obey his commands?!! He says Love= Obey commands. If we say we Love God, yet we dont obey his commands God says we are liars in His eyes!!!
Very simple….
If we Love God= Obey His commands.
If we dont Love God= Dont obey commands.
Then check yourselves… are you keeping the Biblical Sabbath Holy as God commanded? are you keeping the Passover as God commanded? are you keeping the feast of God as He commanded? if your a woman do you wear your veil when you worship or talk to God? are you truly walking in obedience to His commands?! Please give careful thought to your actions. Dont just say I love you God, but show Him you love Him through your actions. Your God says to please obey his commands so that you can receive salvation. If we obey, we will be greatly blessed! God bless you all. -

God bless you Eyes Open. You know your comment sounds like someone who's ignorant of the Bible and insist his own opinion. That's just sad. Here let me enlighten you a little bit in case you didn't understand my post above.
1 Corinthians 11:1-16 [FOLLOW MY EXAMPLE, AS I FOLLOW THE EXAMPLE OF CHRIST. I PRAISE YOU FOR REMEMBERING ME IN EVERYTHING AND FOR HOLDING TO THE TEACHINGS, JUST AS I PASSED THEM ON TO YOU. Now I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God. EVERY MAN WHO PRAYS OR PROPHESIES WITH HIS HEAD COVERED DISHONORS HIS HEAD. AND EVERY WOMAN WHO PRAYS OR PROPHESIES WITH HER HEAD UNCOVERED DISHONORS HER HEAD—it is just as though her head were shaved. IF A WOMAN DOES NOT COVER HER HEAD, SHE SHOULD HAVE HER HAIR CUT OFF; AND IF IT IS A DISGRACE FOR A WOMAN TO HAVE HER HAIR CUT OR SHAVED OFF, SHE SHOULD COVER HER HEAD. A man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but the woman is the glory of man. For man did not come from woman, but woman from man; neither was man created for woman, but woman for man. For this reason, and because of the angels, the woman ought to have a sign of authority on her head. In the Lord, however, woman is not independent of man, nor is man independent of woman. For as woman came from man, so also man is born of woman. But everything comes from God. Judge for yourselves: Is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered? Does not the very nature of things teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a disgrace to him, but that if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For long hair is given to her as a covering. If anyone wants to be contentious about this, we have no other practice—nor do the churches of God.
It's clear as crystal Eyes Open. The Bible testifies that a man is not to have a cover on his head when he prays and worship God. But for the women, she should have her head covered or cut her hair off when she prays or worship God. That's why Jesus Christ didn't have His head covered when He prayed. God bless you Eyes Open.

God bless you Farkel. So I assume you don't believe the Bible is the Word of God. Let me show you what the Bible testifies.
John 5:39-40 [You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that by them you possess eternal life. These are the Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life.]
Farkel, the Bible the Word of God testifies that Jesus saves. It is actually His words.
Luke 19-10 [For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost.]
Clear enough Farkel? What part of God's words do you not understand? The problem is you wanna insist the opinion of men instead of looking at what the Bible testifies.
2 Peter 1:20-21 [Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation. For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.]
John 1:1-5 [In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it.]
Farkel, unfortunately for you, you are in darkness who cannot understand what the Bible testifies. Jesus is the Word of God that became flesh.
John 1:14 [The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.]
Jesus gave us the Passover bread and wine, His body and blood so we can have eternal life. That's why Jesus saves, not physically, but spiritually, according to the Bible.
Luke 22:7-20 [Then came the day of Unleavened Bread on which the Passover lamb had to be sacrificed. Jesus sent Peter and John, saying, "Go and make preparations for us to eat the Passover." "Where do you want us to prepare for it?" they asked. He replied, "As you enter the city, a man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him to the house that he enters, and say to the owner of the house, 'The Teacher asks: Where is the guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?' He will show you a large upper room, all furnished. Make preparations there." They left and found things just as Jesus had told them. So they prepared the Passover. When the hour came, Jesus and his apostles reclined at the table. And he said to them, "I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer. For I tell you, I will not eat it again until it finds fulfillment in the kingdom of God." After taking the cup, he gave thanks and said, "Take this and divide it among you. For I tell you I will not drink again of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes." And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, "This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me." In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.]
John 6:48-56 [I am the bread of life. Your forefathers ate the manna in the desert, yet they died. But here is the bread that comes down from heaven, which a man may eat and not die. I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world." Then the Jews began to argue sharply among themselves, "How can this man give us his flesh to eat?" Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him.]
Those who keep Jesus Passover will have eternal life just as He promised according to His words. Farkel, the more you verbally persecute God and His followers, you'll just find yourself fighting against God.
Acts 5:38-39 [Therefore, in the present case I advise you: Leave these men alone! Let them go! For if their purpose or activity is of human origin, it will fail. But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against God."]
Farkel, keep them coming. I hope that someday you will see the light of God's truth according to His words. God bless you Farkel.

God bless you. I'm just showing what " the Bible really testifies" and not a man made teachings used to worship God. Only the Bible has the answers. Now if you call this 'spamming' then how can you preach that your church is the true church? Shouldn't we let the Bible speaks for itself? True Christians keep the Word of God, the Bible, as absolute and not just a partial of it. Let's follow the examples of Christ.

God bless you LouBelle. The veil for women is under the law of Christ also, not just the law of Moses. 2000 years ago, Apostle Paul preached to the Corinth and told them that women should have their head cover when they worship and pray to God. We have to follow Jesus and the Apostles examples to show God we love Him.

Matt. 22:1-14 ?..."The kingdom of heaven is like a king who prepared a wedding banquet for his son...But when the king came in to see the guests, he noticed a man there who was not wearing wedding clothes. 'Friend,' he asked, 'how did you get in here without wedding clothes?' The man was speechless. Then the king told the attendants, 'Tie him hand and foot, and throw him outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.'..."?
In the above words, spoken by Jesus, it is clear that there is a regulation for God's people to wear wedding clothes when they enter the heavenly wedding banquet. It is a promise we make with God.
Likewise, when we worship God, there are certain regulations. Worship services should be held according to the teachings of God. Firstly, we should have a godly mind when worshiping God, and, secondly, women should wear veils.
By wearing veils, they can worship God with a godly mind. Men do not cover their heads during worship services.
God gave us this veil regulation as a sign representing God's authority. Even though this regulation seems minor, it cannot be neglected. None of God's commands were instituted meaninglessly. All of the regulations were given to God's people because they are necessary for our salvation and allow us to enter the kingdom of God.
Hos. 8:12 ?"I wrote for them the many things of my law, but they regarded them as something alien."?
If we regard God's regulations as trivial, God will regard us as trivial.Christ commanded that during worship service men should not cover their heads, but women ought to cover their heads.
1 Cor. 11:1-6 ?Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ....?
The Apostle Paul emphasized that his teachings were from Christ, not from his own personal opinions.
1 Cor. 11:4-5 ?Every man who prays or prophesies with his head covered dishonors his head. And every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head—it is just as though her head were shaved.?
Through Christ's teaching, we discover that men ought not to cover their heads, but that women should cover their heads while worshiping God.
During the time of Moses, the head of a woman stood for the man. Thus, it was regarded as very shameful if a woman uncovered her head in front of a man or even loosened her hair. In fact, when a Jewish man chose to marry a Gentile captive, he would shave the woman's head to wash away the shame of her prior ignorance of God.
The words, "It is just as though her head were shaved," refer to this very shameful occurrence.Even through the Creation, we can see that men ought not to cover their heads, but that women should cover their heads while in the presence of God.
1 Cor. 11:7-9 ?A man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but the woman is the glory of man....?
God created Eve as Adam's helper. In the work of preaching the new covenant, too, man is the head and woman is the helper; however, men must not arrogantly ignore their female counterparts. As it is written:
1 Cor. 11:11-12 ?In the Lord, however, woman is not independent of man, nor is man independent of woman. For as woman came from man, so also man is born of woman. But everything comes from God.?
Could the gospel work be completed by only men? Or, if only women worked for the gospel, could it be fulfilled? Men and women should help each other in the gospel work. Both should remain devoted to their missions and faithful to the titles and positions given to them by God.Our intrinsic nature, given to us by God, teaches us that men should not cover their heads, but that women should.
1 Cor. 11:13-15 ?Judge for yourselves: Is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered?...?
This verse implies that it is not proper for a woman to worship God with her head uncovered. We unconsciously know that if a man has long hair he looks ugly, and it can even become his disgrace. God gave men "the nature" not to cover their heads.
"But that if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For long hair is given to her as a covering."Contrary to man, if a woman has short hair, she is not seen as beautiful. When a woman has long hair that covers her head, she looks beautiful, and it becomes her glory. This is only because God gave women the "nature" to feel beautiful when their heads are covered with long hair.
Through the "nature of things," God taught us that a man should not cover his head, but that a woman should cover her head. Verse 15—"long hair is given to her as a covering"—means that God uses a woman's long hair to subconsciously teach her that it is proper for her to cover her head.
As the Apostles preached the gospel, Christ's teachings spread to various Mediterranean regions. Initially, the veil regulation was obeyed without rejection. As people began to advocate gender equality, however, a question was raised: "Is there any reason for women to wear veils when men do not?" In the region of Corinth, women became repulsed at the thought of the veil regulation. In an effort to change their incorrect thinking, the Apostle Paul emphasized that women ought to cover their heads, explaining the deeper significance of this regulation. Some versions of the Bible have section titles which summarize the contents of the chapter which follows. Let's look at some of the section titles used for 1 Corinthians chapter 11.
ESV (English Standard Version) - Head Coverings
TEV (Today's English Version) - Covering the Head in Worship
These section titles display the Apostle Paul's true purpose in writing this chapter. 1 Corinthians 11 lists all of the reasons why women have to cover their heads during worship. No commandment of God is trivial. All of the commandments are given to us for our salvation and heavenly blessings. Women should cover their heads when they worship or pray so that they may give glory to God.
The Bible says,"Arrogance is like the evil of idolatry."In some churches, the male priests cover their heads; however, this teaching is not from the Bible. A long time ago, when Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the Ten Commandments, the Israelites could not look directly at Moses' face because he was so radiant after meeting God. The people were afraid to come near him, so he put a veil over his face. When he went to speak with God, however, he took it off (Ex. 34:29-35). From then on, the Israelites covered their faces with shrouds when they read the Old Testament.
Just as Moses took off the shroud when he came before God, we are to meet God [Christ] without a shroud. In this instance, the shroud does not imply veils that cover the "heads" of women, but it signifies the shroud that covered the people's "faces" when they read the Old Testament.
Through 1 Corinthians chapter 11, we can understand that women ought to cover their heads during times of worship and that men ought not to cover their heads. Through 2 Corinthians chapter 3, we can understand that now, regardless of gender, we need to take away the shroud which has covered our faces and has not allowed our eyes to clearly see the truth of the Bible. God bless you all. -

The Bible is the Word of God that reveals prophecies and mysteries that God wants us to see. Throughout the Bible, it's been testified that God has a "male and female image". Let's confirm it through the Bible.
Elohim God revealed in the book of Genesis Let us confirm that there is both a male and a female image of God, through the book of Genesis.
Gen. 1:26-27 ?Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness,"…So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.?
Both males and females were created in the image of God, and thus it is clear that God has two images: a male image and a female image. When God said, "Let us make man in our image," God used the word "us"-a plural term-instead of using "me." We come to understand that not one God, but two Gods-a Father and a Mother-worked together during the Creation. Such plural terms are used to describe God in Genesis chapter 11, also.
Gen. 11:1-7 ?…The LORD said…"Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other."?
This verse, too, makes reference to Elohim God, the same God who created male and female (in Genesis chapter 1), saying, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness." In Genesis chapter 11, God was responding to the arrogance of the people, who had collectively built the tower of Babel. Through this situation, God testifies that there exists a God the Mother as well as a God the Father by saying, "Let us go down…"
Elohim God revealed in the book of Isaiah We can confirm the existence of Elohim God through the book of Isaiah as well.
Isa. 6:8 ?Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?" And I said, "Here am I. Send me!"?
When God was searching for a man to preach His words, God said, "Who will go for us?" instead of saying, "Who will go for me?" This reveals that not only the Father was working, but that there was a Mother who was working as well.
Elohim God revealed in the book of Jeremiah In the book of Jeremiah we can also find references to Elohim God.
Jer. 31:22 ?…The LORD will create a new thing on earth a woman will surround a man.?
God said that He would create a new thing: a woman would surround a man. Spiritually, this verse has a very profound meaning. The woman, Eve, had once been inside the man. If God had not made the woman with the ribs He had taken out of the man, how could the woman have been able to surround the man? The new thing, that God said He would bring to the earth, would be the revealing of Mother, who has been within God the Father since the beginning. The new thing would be created at the time God established the new covenant.
Jer. 31:31-34 ?"The time is coming," declares the LORD, "when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah…"I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. No longer will a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother, saying, 'Know the LORD,' because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest."?
In the Hebrew Bible, the word "God" is actually written as "Elohim". "I will be their God [Elohim]." "Elohim" is the plural form of the word "Eloah," meaning a singular God. Therefore, "Elohim" means "Gods," plural. Once we can understand the concept of Elohim God through the new covenant, we no longer need men to teach us to know God, because we will all know God, from the least of us to the greatest. In the truth of the new covenant, we can only become the children of God when we have God the Father and God the Mother, our Elohim God.
When Elohim God created male and female, They said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness." When Elohim God punished the evil acts of God's people, They said, "Let us go down." When the Gods called to Isaiah, They said, "Who will go for us?" Throughout the Bible, God has existed as the male God and the female God: Elohim.Elohim will appear in Their own time God promised that He would appear according to His own timing (1 Tim. 6:15). Let us confirm what form He will appear in.
Rev. 22:17 ?The Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" And let him who hears say, "Come!" Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life.?
For our salvation, God always referred to Himself as "us," and then Elohim God appeared-as the Holy Spirit and the Bride-to give us the water of life. In the first book of Timothy, it is written that God alone is immortal and lives in unapproachable light (1 Tim. 6:16). Thus, only the Spirit and the Bride are immortal and only They have life. Nevertheless, some people boast that they, also, have the power to give life. The people who make such assumptions are greatly mistaken. The Bible says that no one can have life until he or she eats the flesh of the Son of Man and drinks His blood (John 6:53), and Jesus said, "Follow me, and let the dead bury their own dead" (Matt. 8:22). Mere human beings, such as ourselves, cannot say that we are alive. God bless you all.
