Would that include Studies in the Scriptures? Is there any indicator within the flycover of the books (yes I know they don't have flycover) as to the when it became old night or not?

That's one of the appeals of JWR for me pp.
I think I've mentioned before that I think some people need the WT to be invincible.
Not me.
Those who need it to be invicible are the ones who are still giving it power? I dunno, but interesting take. I'll need to check JWR a bit more thoroughly.

I'm struck by how negative this thread has become already and how positive the thread on JWR is. Very, very interesting.
Haven't you guys heard of the tipping point?

I wonder if this letter idea should be addressed to someone in political authority.

Make August 2009 the dawn of the "mass exodus"...the beginning of the end of the Watchtower org!
by koolaid-man inthe watchtower organization is without doubt doing everything they can to keep their business afloat.
they are at a critical point in their ever so blemished present condition.
there is simply too much genuine criticism from not only those on the outside but, also from those on the inside.

Are Most Scientists Atheists?
by passwordprotected injames leuba conducted a survey of scientists in 1916. they were asked a whether they believed in a god who actively communicates with humanity, to whom humans can pray and expect an answer.. to believe in this sort of god would mean you were a theist.
if you're a deist, or agnostic, you believe there's a god but he's not necessarily interested in humans and we wouldn't pray to this god.. the results of this survey revealed that roughly 40% of scientists believe in this sort of god, making them theists.
40% didn't, making them either deists/agnostics or atheists.

Going back to the original question: maybe it has to do with the type of science. I'm reading a lot about Quantum Pysics and it's different. It seems to be proving more that their must be something out there that cares because of what they are discovering in that field. Just thought I'd throw that in there...........wf
One of our neighbours and friends is a professor of physics, specialising in semiconductors. He's the youngest professor in this field in the UK. He's also an elder in a local evangelical church. Interestingly, his church is classed as charasmatic, so they believe in the power and gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Not that this proves much...

We're thinking of having Besty disfellowshipped from Atheism for his lack of faith and commitment.

It seems to me you want to group all non-believers together in one group to make it convenient to hate them.
No offense to you personally, but that's a pot calling the kettle black moment. All religion is evil and is a virus that needs to be rooted out, yeah? Can you spell h-a-t-e m-e-s-s-a-g-e? It seems some want to group all believers together to make it easier to hate them.
I concede this may not be your personal world view, but it's one that's expounded by one of the three most intelligent people on the planet who happens to espouse atheistic evangelism.
