Can we get some responses from a JW apologist or two? Why have the Governing Body created a doctrine that isn't found in the Bible? And refering to the Mosaic Law Covenant won't work as Christians aren't Jewish.

Governments are the authorities that we all need to deal with. OSCE does not fall into that category.

Recognising authorities and become affiliated are two different things; don't the Governing Body trust the Jehovah will set all matters straight in his own time?
Surely recognising the need to take care of one's physical health through regular exercise at a gym, such as at the YMCA, is in keeping with Jehovah's will.

Par 19 takes the biscuit. If no individuals (note: plural) are to elevate themselves or expect special treatment, then what the hell are the Governing Body doing?

KH Games
by cantleave ineven though my attandance at meetings is lessening, i still have to attend so as not to lose my income, friends and family.
i've started playing games to make the meetings go faster, for example, i have started annoying the hall servant by making silly requests such as asking him to turn the aircon on, then 10minutes later saying things like , "thanks for that but it looks like sister elderly is getting cold - she has just put her jumper on".
i also look for brothers and sisters who haven't got one or the books or the okm and make a real meal at getting one to them (its amazing how much noise you can make fumbling around the literature cupboard).. i am running out of ideas, can anyone else suggest something to to take the dullness out of the meetings.

You excuses are for why you shouldn't be a witness anymore, they in no way condone you disrespecting others people's right to worship.
Since when do JW respect other peoples' right to worship? Do you personally respect those who no longer wish to worship at the feet of the Governing Body? Pot/kettle etc etc.

Thanks for the comments.
I think it's important to realise that JWs need to be tackled on their playing field, namely that of Christianity. Therefore, I believe it's important to point to the blindindly obvious statements that Jesus made and compare/contrast them with what JW actually believe and practice.
I think a person who doesn't believe in God could use similar arguments to those I've used (as I know Besty has) and get their point over.
