No More Work on Saturdays at Bethels Worldwide

a letter was read at tonight's meeting announcing that the governing body has decided to stop work on saturdays at all bethels worldwide.

bethel workers are encouraged to now spend saturdays with their local congregation in field service.

the new arrangement goes into effect june, 2009.. what do you think are the motives for such a change?.

- less literature being produced (thank God)

- pressure re. workers' comp

Yep, that one and another last summer about reading the Bible with an open mind (which was exactly what I was doing at the time and it was leading me to apostasy..)

I agree; I think there has been someone or persons in the Writing Dept who have been putting some wee gems out there.

Well, to the average Protestant, you're only "saved" if you are born again from the Holy Spirit, and they know JWs teach that only 144,000 are born again.
To their minds, that is teaching that only 144,000 are saved. Just sayin'. *G*
