Probably not, as in, I have not put the time and research into forming an absolute opinion on the matter.
Ok, be sure to get back to us once you've done your research.

It's Amazing!
by whathehadas init's amazing to me how many of the exjws no longer believe in god.
i know some of you have many reasons to believe in what you do now.
but this is a big testimony to what the wts does to people's concept of god.

Romans 1: 20 For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.
21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.

I applaud Hobo Ken's courage. It's ok to post experiences on here and people can read what happens in a jc. There is a big difference between that and actually 'hearing' reality.
This proves beyond doubt that posters' written experiences are not exaggerated and allows the skeptics to eavesdrop on something they wouldn't normally have access to. This is an incredibly powerful tool to have at our disposal thanks to the brave individuals who put their neck on the block.
Hear hear.

Notice they didn't mention bars/pubs!
It's laughable, really, how JWs still try to present a public face of sobriety.

Are Atheists and Agnostics as socially and environmentally motivated as believers in a supreme being are. Do they have there own version of the Golden Rule and being their Brother's Keeper.
I've no idea. The point I was making in my post was in reply to the previously and persistently offered hypothesis that believers lack personal responsibility.

Password, what do you mean by "I even put my hands together like you imagine the Christian zealots doing"? I can't believe I never asked this, don't jw's fold their hands in prayer? or put them together much like you may see pictures of little children praying at their bedside in Christian literature or even the Norman Rockwell type of picture?
Hi Carla. Good question. I put them palms together, fingers pointing up. I'm sure some JWs do this, but you'll rarely, if ever, see it in a Kingdom Hall.
Btw, I'm not suggesting that this is a sign of Christian zealotry or that one must do this with their hands when praying. I'm just illustrating that place I was at that I fell to my knees, my hands together as described, and prayed. It didn't carefully think it out before hand, it just happened that way. It surprised me, I guess is what I'm driving at....

One thing that jumped out at me was the stressing of not doing anything other with your free evening than "worship". This equated to studying WTS publications. One demonstration featured a brother being offered some short-term overtime over a few evenings. He reasons that he could do so now that he had 4 evenings free per week, but then rationlised that it would eat into his 'study time'.
Yep - same old rubbish - Jehovah will provide. I wonder if it would be a good idea to have some direct debits set up with the Bank of Jehovah.
The thing I don't understand is they made a practice for years of pointing out how, if you're a good JW employee, your boss will reward you with promotions and job security.

I meant to add that I was thinking on the way home from Perth that if I had money, I'd buy out the stadium for the whole of July and August....
