So actually these old publicationss do serve as a testament to them getting to total equality for all men through their own ways not the world around them.
What, by saying that God will make black people white? Bonkers.
one of the more ridiculous and offensive things the wts has ever taught and that is saying a lot.. i know i saw a link to this article sometime in the last two weeks but i've lost it!
can anyone direct me to this article?.

dear friends,.
well, after 4 years of being out of the borg, i decided to take the plunge and i went to "church" with my sister.
it was a wonderful experience, and i will definately be returning.
Thanks for sharing! I'm sure some will be helped by what you had to say; it's a big step for exiting of ex-JWs to go into a church.
some of you have been like family to me.
yet, it's time that i must say good-bye.
my husband and i have chosen to study the scriptures together on two conditions:.
Sorry to see you leave, but very pleased about the circumstances you're doing it under. Good luck, I hope it goes well.

The problem with trying to keep a relationship going with hardline JW's who have made a vow of loyalty to Brooklyn diktats Jehovah (women seem particularly susceptible to this - runs for cover) is that the elephant in the room is so huge that there is no room for the people. Like Diana said "There were three of us in the marriage and it was a bit crowded."
Also, the problem in the relationship isn't actually the person who has left or the person who is still a JW, it's the blooming organisation that dictates every facet of their life. The people are fine, it's the rules of the organisation that ruins things. But it's not like you're allowed to point that out or anything, because one of their rules is never to speak to or listen to you.
do you think the wts would except this?.

Even if athiesm could be defined as a religion, why is it so offensive to those who are in other religions?
For me personally, it's not the religion of atheism that's so offensive, it's that the atheist won't 'fess up to it!
You have a faith! You have beliefs! You have books! You have preachers! All that's missing is the cathedrals.

I see atheism as another word for anarchy
OK, now you're just being silly.

I am quite astounded that you cannot see such an obvious parallel.
And these people were forced to be baptised? C'mon.
i read these threads and there are a few that bend over backwards to say why wts is correct on this issue or that issue.. they act like typical jw's that refuse to acknowledge points that may show that wts is not following the scriptures or that wts goes beyond the scriptures in a way that is not supported by others.. the point could be the blood issue or shunning or whether 1799 or 1914 was the start (or finish?
) of the last days or whether there is a faithful and discreet slave class or not.
i don't want to harp on each point.
Spike, the only people who can answer your questions are your Watch Tower leaders as they are the ones who make the rules.

i'll not rush out to get myself debaptised though, it would be like giving the first time round credence
And that with I think we've hit on the core issue.
As I've already said, it's a bit like sending Santa a letter to tell him you don't believe in him anymore.
