My Favorite Songs of 2004
by Leolaia inevery year since 1991 i have been making my own "mix-tape" (since 1998, my own "mix-tape" cd) of my favorite songs of the year.
i have just completed my cd for 2004. one of the real pleasures of doing this is finding the right track order to make the styles of the songs flow smoothly from one to another, while keeping some semblance of the chronological progression of the year.
i thought it might be interesting to post my list and see if anyone else has their own similar list for the past year:.

Well if you really want to know I got this really cool job traveling all over sunny Queensland.
Funny thing happened at work the other week
They have this weekly thing where the can come in casual dress and donate the money to charity. They also announce peoples birthdays and make big thing of it. As I was the oldest person working there (average age is about 26) they made the weekly charity The Foundation for Alzheimers Disease?? Cheeky bastards. You can tell they really respect me can?t you.
They are a good bunch and it is a lot of fun. Me being so immature and everything I just fit right in.

Indecent Exposure A blonde is walking down the street with her blouse open, exposing one of her breasts. A nearby policeman approaches her and remarks, "Ma'am, are you aware that I could cite you for indecent exposure?"
"Why, officer?" asks the blonde.
"Because your blouse is open and your breast is exposed."

Well the likeness is striking
A blonde, a brunette and a redhead are stuck on an island.
One day, the three of them are walking along the beach and discover a magic lamp. They rub and rub, and sure enough, out pops a genie.
The genie says, "Since I can only grant three wishes, you may each have one."
The brunette says, "I've been stuck here for years. I miss my family, my husband, and my life. I just want to go home."
POOF! The brunette gets her wish and she is returned to her family.
Then, the red head says, "I've been stuck here for years as well. I miss my family, my husband, and my life. I wish I could go home too."
POOF! The redhead gets her wish and she is returned to her family.
The blonde starts crying uncontrollably.
The genie asks, "My dear, what's the matter?"
