  Getting out!

  my husband and i would like to get our kids (my step kids) out of this religion and we don't know where to.

  begin.

  we hardly see them anymore, neither of them are baptisted and we don't know where to begin.

  i'm so glad i am finally allowed to post my messages.

  they have been building up for quite some time, since the other message board wouldn't let me register because i felt uncomfortable putting what congregation i was with at the time in the appropriate box.

  i'd like to start off by saying i love this discussion board, and i'm glad so many people are finding help here.

  i'm curious: how many years were you in before you left?

  by left, i mean either df'd and decided not to go back, or da'd, or faded, or even just realized it was a crock but stuck around anyway for family reasons?.

  we're told in la-la-land that it's the newly baptized, those who are "spiritually immature" that mostly leave.

  this is my first try at posting on a discussion board, though i have been lurking here and at a few others on the same subject for a few weeks now.

  about 4 weeks ago i took the plunge and decided to see just what all the mystery and danger of reading "apostate" material was all about.

Im only new hear myself but it has been very theraputic. Before I was full of hate but now I laugh at it all. (psychedelic Furs) Bye the way Im a mole.   He did not bring up doctrine or argue. He would plant seeds of doubt by saying that he was puzzled by something to get his family to think for themselves about different issues

  Its a fine line sometimes but can be a lot of fun

  whether i am a lutheran, catholic, jehovahs witness, mormon jew or any other religion i can play the part quite well.

  as a matter of fact most of us can.

  i can be regular at my places of worship, give generously , teach sunday school, read my.
