Merrimack New Hampshire KH Project denied credit by WT seeks $ from others
by bnybyt inthe merrimack congregation in nh is seeking to buy land and build a new kh, the nh rbc has plans to build a $750,000 (that's right a three quarter million kh).
"the branch" has wanted to build a kh between the cities of concord and manchester nh for quite a few years now.
unfortunately the wt has looked into their resources, local bank account is over $100,000, and they can contribute $2,000 monthly towards a mortgage.

Halloween as a Jehovah's Witness Kid
by Badfish inwhat was your experience like as a kid on halloween growing up in a jw family?.
i was raised in a jw family but never got baptized.. my father used to make me and my sister put old awakes and watchtower's in the trick or treaters' bags.
we would say: "i don't celebrate halloween but here's a treat for you!

"We have lots of jw's on our estate in Tamworth so we made a return visit on them to place a number of nails under the tyres of the 2 BMW X5'S they have to lord it over the congregation that they are better than anyone else. I am very bad."
This is so funny!! Shame on you! lol I'll admit, there's a few people I would like to do this to. Glad you and your kids enjoyed trick or treating. Isn't it nice to do nromal things with your family?

The only consistent tradition I have since I started celebrating 3 years ago is I fix a great BIG pan of lasagne. It's delicious and my family loves it!

Here is the funeral talk outline. VERY discraceful.
by stillstuckcruz inthis is truly terrible.
i just love the statement "instead of eulogizing the deceased, use the material in this outline to give a fine witness concerning the truth.
" in other words, utterly disregard the deceased.

My mom is a hardcore JW. If she should pass(may that day be many, many, many moons away), I am NOT going to have the memorial in a KH. I'll invite the JW's to her service because that is her life. But, the service will be held in a public place.
No way in hell I am going to allow them to disrespect her and sum up her life in a few short sentences! My mom is such an exceptional, wonderful, giving person. The idea that they would try to minimize that by using a recruitment talk makes me sick to my stomach.
None of our loved ones deserves such a cold, standard speech.
