several weeks ago, i was attending a meeting with my wife and i brought my king james translation of the bible with me.

one of the brothers came up to me after the meeting and asked me what translation did i have and i showed it to him.

he asked if i knew that god's name appeared in that translation and i said, "yes, psalms 83:18 i do believe.

I think that you cannot argue with them when you make a fool of Jehovah's Witnesses.

First of all, for them, unlike me, English is their "native language."

I do plan to stick with my original point in that the divine name was inserted 237 in the NT where it did not appear in the oldest manuscripts. He may try to get around it anyway he can but in the end he must either admit or deny that assertion.
In their publications, it is written like this.

Well, although it is a talk which is completely unrelated to that music ...
Kyoto looks beautiful did you know that it was on the target list for an atomic bomb in ww2. The only reason it was removed was because the us secretary of war henry l. stimson had gone on his honeymoon there decades before and loved the place and didn't want it bombed.
Although I do not know the situation of the United States of those days, I think that perhaps all the cities in Japan were targets.
I think that Japan of those days was probably strong, so that they had to do such thing.
When the U.S. Forces war with a foreign country today, the U.S. does not need to use nuclear weapons.
Strange how things like that can change the course of history otherwise that city would look very different today and the people living there would not be alive.
Indeed.

But I think that the Japanese people would rebuild Kyoto.
Because, that is all wooden, and the building to be maintained for 1200 years does not exist.
I have never understood the dropping of bombs on cities of men women and children.
Probably that is not most U.S. people's emotion/opinion.
