But NWT is using "bracket."

It means that that word is not in the Greek text.
You have to understand it well.

Why is NIV inserting "the" which is not in the Greek text?

Probably, the security software of my PC is warning me about the GIF pictures being linked to "www.geocities.com."

It may be satisfactory if there is no external link to those GIF pictures.
I think that you should just upload after saving pictures, without displaying those pictures by link.
