thanks for the info
Thank u all - I also ran a check on the search menu for anything and got a copy of the 91 Flock book -- so I think I will be able to give some rounded out info now - without tellng where I got it, that is !!
while being reinstated several months ago -- no restriction were given other than no commenting - service was allowed - getting over the average for the cong, not missing meetings - its been months now and the brother met recently with someof the jc members - they praised his hours and meeting attendance but because his lessons are not completely underlined, and he does make notes during the meeting, he has not been allowed to still make comments and become a fully active member of the congregation as they say this note taking is causing a problem with other members of the congregation.. have you even heard of anything so off the wall?
is this the way its done in most cong??
he thought if someone was interested enough to listen and make notes of a good point in their mags, it would be something to be referred to in the future... i know i have seen folks doing this while the lesson is being read.... .

B447 -
You hit the nail on the head with that comment -he is feeling so down now - worked so hard to get back, went thru hell and now this from the loving, kind, epathetic (pathetic) brothers who are to follow Christ's example -- he is ready to move to another cong.. and that would be so sad.. yet I believe he would still have to deal with the elders in this cong before receiving all priviledges back.. and would they smear him there?? I think I would call for another committee to handle the situation, if they were to intefer - or does that have to be done only after dis f??
recently, i've been seeing this argument displayed here more frequently by those still believing jw's.. usually in reply to arguments they can not answer well, like 1914, generation(s), etc.... its almost like, they are are having serious doubts as well, but their fall back is, "but its god organization....where else would you go......don't leave, we are so close to the end".
as one recently shared their experience with a jc.
the elders, when feeling trapped on explanations, fell back to this defense.
I am in but now question most statements from the platform,be it at the hall or assembly -- I do not discuss anything with anyone anymore - cause I dont know who is going to run to the elders -- shame, isnt it? But as the society says family study -- that to me means research - everything and prayer for guidance, so now I find something that doesnt make sense with the society and since the Wt said the GB and elders and MS are no wiser or anointed with holy spirit than us low rung pubs, I believe in my heart what I think the spirit has told me to believe... I go for the fact I have always loved the Bible, even before the JW's - I guess its just a comfort zone until my feathers get ruffled and then ------

Weana_ would it make any difference if the reinstated one was a male or female s regards treatment of this kind? I know mikes and public prayers would not entere into it, but ust curious..

CL -- the strange thing is that most of the lesson is done but sometimes a good point is made and tagged or noted for future reference and they are taking it as not pre studying the lesson
I know I do it, as do others in the cong.. so I am just trying to dig into the reason why it would even be mentioned.. I think JW is on the right trail...

Thanks Weana , good info too - I will pass the info on to him that this is indeed a strange reason, seeing that you did bring out that even visitors can make comments, as well as unbaptized persons - could be something for them to chew on ..
Patience is indeed a virtue - but when one is trying so hard, it is taxing to say the least and sometimes he has gone over the top in presenting his case
thanks again

Doesn't make sense to me either.. he is very despondent and they will not give any lee way... one in particular is adamant

I personally think this a is moot point - who doesnt make notes or underline a point that may have been overlooked while studying- but should this hold one back from full reinstatment
