earlier this season i advised my retired father to ignore the use of a tablet during his kingdom hall congregational visits.
his response was hopefull, but between the lines i could hear he had no choice.. yesterday he showed me his new 600 euro 64 gb ipad air 2. he had no clue what he has to do with it, he told me one of the elders will install the jw.org apps.. so, i feel he had to deal with presure to buy this ipad and i think he is not the only one.. do you recognize this?.

I did not have to buy an Ipad -- there are a lot of good units out there, I originally had an Asus -- but now I went to Walmart and got a Hipstreet for $115.00 and it works great - 2 year warranty-- can download anything and its 32 gb - you can get a 64 gb but with a 32 that is all you need. Look around -- no need to go high priced, after all they are electronics and can quit anytime...
The Hipstreet is smooth, faster than the Asus -- has 5.0 and is a quad 4

I did not say WH was a translation, I said it was used in the translation by the society ... but I wondered if there was any history of WH being inspired, etc. to be used by them to put out that translation ... there has never been anyone listed as being used as translators, knowing Greek, Hebrew, etc. There have been rumors but never any fact out of the society.

sexual abuse by a female member of a 14 year old in the congregation and elders being sued by the county --- now that co's are liable for the elders only - does that mean the elders will lose everything if fines are levelled against them, since the society has washed their hands and separated themselves by setting the co in place??

I thought that since the CO was the decision maker re the choosing of an elder now based on congregation elders appointing new elders, that the society had removed themselves from the equation and left the CO out to hang if such cases were to occur.....setting the congregation elders up for loss of home, etc.

Everything that has happened was not your fault - every day you will get stronger, you will stand tall, you can overcome... the despair will make way for some happiness, not always, but there are going to be times when you feel as if you have conquered those fears.
The distrust you feel will probably always be with you but that can be a protection as well... many things happen throughout our lives and we can learn and grow from that. Many wishes to you and your will to challenge those who have controlled and manipulated your life. You are now free from that grip and willing to so something about it. That takes guts!! november 09, 2015. wilmington, delaware the attorney general's office is suing elders of the sussex county congregation for not reporting an unlawful sexual relationship between a woman and a 14-year-old boy, both of whom were congregation members.. state law requires any person, agency, organization or entity who knows or in good faith suspects that a child is being abused or neglected to call a 24-hour hotline.
Now back up --- the WTBTS is no longer on the book for this are they?? That is why the CO's are now over the elders and the congregations... so is this the case that the ELDERS will have to pay if fines are levelled against their action -- taking their homes, etc???
