No carmel, the Jews thought that he was talking about the Jerusalem temple which took 46 years to build. But Jesus was talking about his body.

Verses that bothered you as a JW
by JH inwe find god's name "jehovah" so many times in the old testament, but not at all in the new testament.
jesus is called a "mighty god" in the bible.
jesus is also called "father".

I have never been a JW, but here is an observation: while the situation with Lots daughters is recorded in the Bible (as similar situations are recorded in news papers today, never is it said to be Gods will.

The WTS the YEC, and Mormon church are still wearing the same inquisitorial black hoods that caused so much havoc in ages past and reflect the above attitude in their dealings both with society and their own burdened adherents.
YEC's want both sides of the creation/evolution issue to be taught, using primarily scientific data. Hardly "inquisitional"

Please advise!
by yesidid inif my husband and i were to shuffle off this mortal coil anytime soon there would be a fair amount of money to be divided between our witness relatives.
what do you think about this idea?.
we give everyone between $50,000 and $100,000 each on the condition that they read both of ray franz's books.

Exit counselors are those specifically trained to help-cult members. They do this through a variety of counter-mind control techniques. Many of them are very experienced.
Contact Randy Watters. He goes by "Dogpatch" here. You can find him under "Member Directory" He also has a website with arcticles on exit counseling. he works with Steve Hassan as well as other professionals.

I need a WT article
by Uzzah inyet again i am asking for your help.. i am working on a project and am trying to pull together all the information the society has published regarding how they are organized.. back in the late 70's for example they had published an org chart showing all the various committees of the governing body (writing publishing etc).
i would appreciate someone posting that article here or emailing it to me directly at [email protected] (remove the nospam).
i would also appreciate receiving any other articles or commentaries you may have regarding bethel procedures policies and structure.

hillary_step, while its true that religious leaders have at times gone against science, the fact remains that most fields of science were founded by creationists.

DNA and Man's origin
by D wiltshire in.
i think as time goes on and dna gets understood better and better it will be imposible for fundamental christians to defend thier position against evolution.
kind of like the catholic church going against galileio saying the "earth is not the center of the universe".. "eventually"(maybe not now) to fight against the evidence makes you look very stupid and under heavy mind control.. don't get me wrong i beleive there is a god, and i think he used "gradualism" to create the universe and life, i even feel the first 2 chapter of genesis are discribing a very long drawn out process that took just as evolutionist are telling us, billions of years till finally man appears.. eventually the wt is going to have to change its understanding of genesis to even stay credible..

You seem unwilling or unable to grasp the concept of Mitochondrial Eve. I - and others -explained it several times, and provided a link to an excellent easy to understand article which addressed the common misconceptions about Mitochondrial Eve incuding the ones you seem to be stubbornly adhering to.
funkyderek, I do understand the basic concept of Mitochondrial Eve. I also understand the basic evolutionary interpretation of the data as my earlier posts clearly state. Just because I do not agree with all the sub-hypothesis evolutionists add to the mitochindrial data does not mean that I don't understand the concept.
Just because an evolutionist website says that there were other womwn living at the same time as mtEve, or that there were other women before her, or that she shares a common ancestor with apes, does not make it so.
