he really knows his stuff about what is going on with the environment.
he talked about how the coal mining in west virginia has torn down large mountains because they dump the rocks and soil into the rivers then the mountains are gone.

Hey Purple you have a pm. It is about the Venus Project. I love the idea. Not people would accept it. BizzyBee I agree. PrimateDave I love George Carlin. So sorry he died last year. I miss his humor I had no clue he did anything about this, it was well done. Can't say that I believe we can't do something as a nation to have and effect. As the Aussies on here if they are worried about the hole above them in the ozone? I know they are! It has to start somewhere, right?

I had a long talk with my sister this morning. She would love me to come to her church to get to know God. They believe in a trinity, the earth will be burned up (New Heavens and New Earth), not sure about the hell thing, but everyone goes to heaven to worship god. I told her I need more than that. We exchanged ideas and I asked her loads of questions she told me she couldn't answer because we were on the phone. They believe God is Sovereign and in charge of Universe. She had cancer 19 years ago and is cured. She believes god gave it to her. I told her I could never believe in a god like that. How loving is that? So many people here want me to come to their church for comfort and it will fix all my problems. Oh yeah, I think they just don't understand once you get all the crap from the wt in your head for so many years it is hard to erase some of the ideas that make sense. Just can't believe that anyone has all the answers anymore. I am working on living my life like I would like others to treat me and not hurt anyone it the process. I am not able to do that perfectly. I get angry and say things that continue to get me into hot water. I want so much to believe in an Almighty God but don't know right now.

Wuz that is really funny! Glad you can laugh at the things happening. I know you have been divorced before but it doesn't get any easier even if you have gone through it. It's not like you become an expert at grieving a loss. You just know what to expect. Keep yourself strong. The children are old enough to understand what is happening. Still it is a hardship being a kid from divorce. I know my parents were divorced when I was around ten. My sister was 13 she took it way harder than me. I never wanted to be divorced but am getting used to idea. Moving on with my life even if sometimes I have set backs. Part of the experience, huh?

Since when did the media love Al Gore? They make fun of him at every chance they get. Here we go again about Global Climate Change. That is what is really is isn't it? How come we have five days of cold cold weather then it turns sixty for a few days? It is just not the way it used to be all of us can see that, can't we? I don't ever remember as a child hearing of animals disappearing. Why are there so many children born with asthma and allergeries today? No one had problems like that forty years ago when I went to school. What is making everyone sick? The air we breathe is so important for our health and the water we drink, too. When did it become so difficult for people to realize that the media isn't the only way to get information. There are so many books that people write to take one side or the other. Can't we take a long look at nature to see what is happening? Why forests are being cut down? How the mining companies are flattening the Appillation (sp?) Mountains? This is something to get more coal. Like a few of the above posters I can't believe there isn't something happening to the planet we all share. Let's take care of it so the next generation can have a place to live.

Hey Unc, I saw a movie called "The 11th Hour" about global climate change that mentioned how the earth is all lite up at night. They showed a picture of it. It was very scary to see the changes that are accurring and we will have little effect on it even now. We lost eight years getting started on this lets see if we can make a difference now. Thanks for everyone's comments I just found an old thread that just went through a whole discussion on global climate change its effects. Don't mean to beat a dead horse. By the way I would never do that!
