LOL I totally agree with you. When I used to go to meetings as a teenager, I'd always hear some pioneer sisters and even some brothers talking about those spiritually weak ones and their wrongdoings outside of the KH. I once approached them and asked them why were they gossiping. They said they weren't gossiping, they were just expressing their concerns about them. I was thinking "Yeah right! They sounded pretty negative. IF they were really concerned, they would have done something about those spiritually weak ones." I wasn't too surprised when they gossiped about me since I was never bapitized and was always a freethinker in the congregation.

im a jehovahs witness i dont gossip !!!!!!
by looloo inthat is one saying that really got on my bloody nerves , and the strange thing was it was usually the biggest gossips i have ever known in real life and j dub land that came out with that line !
they insist they do not gossip but in my workplace where 90 % of workforce were witnesses it was no different to any other place of work i have been in for gossip , i even remember thinking how nasty they were for calling a member of the congregation "shrek" what fine fruit i thought to myself !
did any of you know a "gossip" story ?

Here is what I believe. I do believe that God exist out there but not the kind of God that's described in the Bible. Bible's God is very inconsistent with many different personalities. It portrays Jehovah in many different ways which cause us to be confused about him. His inconsistency makes us question him whether he is truthful or not. I believe that Bible was written by imperfect men and they made some mistakes writing the Bible. The Bible is a good book talking about morality but it doesn't always portray "loving" God consistently.
I'm sure God does exist but he is much different from what we have been taught from the Bible.

Reniaa, God gave us free will. Aren't we inclined to sin from the beginning? If Adam and Eve were perfect back then, they would have resisted the serpent and not eat the fruit. Suppose we have no freewill then we wouldn't be doing things that are considered bad. Having free will means we choose to do whatever we think is good and bad. If we aren't inclined to sin from the beginning then we should not have free will at all and "bad" would never existed.

oh great and lofty governing body
by booby init's a good thing we changed our meeting schedule when we did.
restriction of this sort could have been used against us.
good that the governing body decided to make this change.

LOL it just cracks me up when JWs relate almost everythiing to Satan and how he is trying to interfere us. I think poor economy has a lot to do with them changing the meeting schedule. Companies are cutting back on spending and the WT society is no different. Satan, Satan, Satan.....my ass.

I gotta admit that I have my doubts about God. My dad is an Elder. We were having a discussion about the Bible. He kept talking about how Jehovah allows Satan to rule the Earth so eventually Jehovah will have some followers and prove Satan wrong when the system ends.
I was thinking if we were in Jehovah's position. Suppose you create something like Jehovah did and someone else comes over and tries to destroy your work. What would your inital reaction be? Of course, we all would fight back to defend our work because we care and love our work so much. Why didn't Jehovah do the same? Why didn't he fight Satan immediately and destroy him? Is it because Jehovah doesn't really care too much about us? Or is he just a pushover? There's no way that someone with power like Jehovah would allow someone else like Satan to interfere with his work.
I got in an argument with my dad after I asked him those questions. He had no answer and called me a work of Satan. I was never baptized or anything FYI.
