  hi simon & tech.support ,when i click on hottest and the page comes up as it should and then i click on next i`m thrown back to pages 19 years ago .?.

  i think it only happens when i click on hottest and not latest .. thanks guys i love this site and appreciate all you do to support it ..

  looks like the update i pushed yesterday broke the "new topic" link.

  if this shows up, then it's fixed :).

  there are quite a few other updates, nothing should be visually different but the backend is changing in preparation for more noticeable changes and just to improve performance..

  May not be related, but I notice that when I connect to your site, it doesn't recognize me anymore. But all I have to do is touch the "sign in" button and I am warmly welcomed and shown the door in. I don't have to log in or do the password, but at first it just says "welcome, visitor."

  Sure, Min. At least none of Donald Trump's family have benefitted from his coming to power. Since DT is so squeaky clean in that department, he can level accusations of this against Biden. No, he can't. That's why he wants Ukraine to do it for him!

  Don't get me wrong. I think Biden is corrupt, too. Just not as corrupt as the Trump dynasty. Nepotism runs deep.

  hm of you with a divided house have to put up with this?

  in this house its walking a mine field.. also our little cat has been gone for some 24 hours and her absence is also my fault apparently..

  Zeb, some wives are like that. I have to remind myself that just maybe someday, my wife will grow up and take some responsibility instead of blaming everything on me.

  I think that you're right about after conventions it was worse. The dramas are filled with really wise and wonderful people dealing with everyday (sarcasm) decisions and here my wife is, stuck with a jerk that isn't anywhere near as spiritual as those people!

  we know that the serpent in the garden can’t be secretly satan, because the first time satan is mentioned by name is in a story chronologically after this one, and in that, he is said to be walking.

  remember that the serpent was cursed to crawl on his belly all the rest of his days, but in the book of job, satan is still walking around and chatting with god as if they’d never had a falling out.

  this is when god had to ask satan where he’s been, because his infallible omniscience obviously didn’t know.. so if he had to ask that of satan, who is later described as the lord of lies, then why would god believe him?

  Some curse. Crawl on your belly all your lives, serpents! They already do! But Satan had free access to God's throne for thousands of years yet. So he wasn't "crawling" at all. I must be confused.

  Self Limiting Beliefs

  left the jw’s as a teenager; as with most exjws i have struggled throughout the years with being a successful adult.

  i have recently starting addressing some of the psychological trauma of my childhood, and i wonder if anyone else here can identify with any of these self limiting beliefs:.

  - pursuit of wealth is bad (i.e.

  Back in the earlier years of the WT, people would get together and discuss their thoughts about various portions of the Bible. Some new thought might seem so astute that one would write a letter to the Society to share what they had found. This was gradually squelched and a "wait on Jehovah" mindset took root. This promoted a lazy and suspicious congregation that frowned on the thinkers.

  So the religion not only drew limits on individuals, they drew limits on themselves!
