  The Watchtower stole from me and you too

  think of how much time and money the tower stole from any who were in the cult.

  think of the vacations as a child you could have taken with your families the memories you could have made instead of sitting in a hot bs week of echo talks and propaganda.

  they stole so much from us.

  LHG, there are a lot of ways to waste a life. I think that a person's attitude has a lot to do with it. Looking at it philosophically, we actually did learn a lot about the Bible, for one thing. Sure , some of it was skewed to fit the church dogma, but, speaking for myself, it wasn't a TOTAL waste of my life. I now recognize some of the earmarks of a con in action. I have a sense for when I'm dealing with a petty bureaucrat. We have all learned from the experience somehow.

  But, yeah, there are better ways to learn the same lessons.

  if a jw had the nerve to ask me this question, i'd say to them, "you go first.

  using only scriptural proof, show me why you believe that the wtbts/ccojw is god's choice and i'll tell you if i agree with your scriptural reasoning.".

  wait for the silence and the rabbit in the headlights moment.. i searched on the wt cd rom for references of "channel of communication.".

  Broadcasting move part 2

  i think this is not an unimportant observation.. with the move of the broadcasting channel to the library part of jw.org the broadcasting are away from the general public.

  so the obscure gb video's about strange mathers are not out to the open anymore with a simple click to tv.jw.org.

  only the rank and file will find them easily.. i think this was the objective of the change.. g..

  The broadcasts may have begun to have a segment for the 'in crowd." They did that when they came out with the Study Edition of the Watchtower. The rank and file had superior, inside knowledge that was not readily available to the public unless they came to meetings.

  But we know a lot of things that they don't know that are of even greater importance than the silly little things in their broadcasts or Watchtowers.

  i always went to this site for my info - now i had to type in jehovahs witness discussion forum and noted that various types of information are not indicated - saying not allowed.

  has something changed i am not aware of or is this my imagination?.

  under jwn is financial information on a specific company and now jw.org- broadcasting and home site .

  Where are the funds going to come from? Warwick Expansion

  so with the news that they are remodeling patterson and expanding warwick, where are the funds going to come from?.

  could this be a ruse like the need for thousands of kingdom halls proclaimed a few years back only to be replaced with the we realized the halls were not at capacity and the great sell-off began?.

  maybe the hope is going to be that the sheep will give give give and then all of the sudden, after prayerful consideration the gb have determined that the current resources are sufficient to create the needed media and content.. my bet is that in 10 years it will all be consolidated to warwick and walkill and patterson will be sold to who i have no idea, but they own a ton of property in upstate ny..

  Please research, I have to admit, I don't know how to take that website. It sort of seems like the kind of news website that the WT should have had for years, but it is obviously not a WT site and the news items are questionable. My opinion is that it is run by somebody very favorable to the WT, which makes the news articles suspect to "spin" or ""tweaking."

  But thanks for bringing it up.

  Wow. Backing off on the aggression factor with the preaching. That seems like a biggie. I'm one of those who preached for years with nothing to show for my effort. I wish they had mentioned easing up on aggressive preaching while I was still in. I would have taken it as meaning "don't bother."
