Hi Rez
Welcome to the forum and the wealth of information you can source here!
I have not posted here for a while but your thread moved me to log in and respond.
Are you married and do you have children?
I was in a similar position 12 years ago but couldn’t bring myself to leave without trying to get through to my family and friends – after all, if the roles were reversed, that is what I would have wanted them to do with me if they knew something I didn’t . How can I just walk away and leave them all behind I thought, so this motivated me to kind of subtly preach to them for more than 5 years, from the inside and whilst serving – see my post below at the time
https://www.jehovahs-witness.com/topic/183743/fade-rapidly-jeopardise-fade-helping-family-friends-learn-truth-remain-part-our-lives
Having read various experiences on this very forum, perhaps I was one of the luckier ones to have things work out as they did with my family and some of my friends, whilst I couldn’t get through to other friends despite the many frank and honest conversations that were had over many years
You are lucky that you are light years ahead of many others in the org who just cannot see what you are seeing!
It is my honest belief that to have any chance of helping anyone on the inside, you need to be the last to leave…you can do a lot of good from within and leave when you are ready – on your own terms!
I loved having the 1914 generation teaching discussion with many – it was on our awake master head for many years with the wording …“ this magazine builds confidence in the Creator's promise of a peaceful and secure new world before the generation that saw the events of 1914 passes away." So I would reason that the creator didn’t change his mind but we were running ahead in our eagerness for the end and our interpretation was wrong… – but in the big picture this little detail or even IF the whole 1914 is accurate (as we believed in 1874/1878 before see Proclaimers book, Page 632) doesn’t really matter to me as I am not serving God with a date in mind etc (to keep the conversation positive but it open’s the conversation up and gets them thinking)
I wish I had somebody like you in my cong to have gotten me thinking earlier than I did – someone who fostered open non-judgemental dialogue- so I will look forward to reading more about the experiences you have on this journey!
Best wishes

A Treatise on 1914, by sd-7
by sd-7 in"1914 repaired".
no year has more profoundly been pointed to for jehovahs witnesses than 1914. it is such a pivotal part of their theological superstructure that the following quote can be found in the book benefitting from theocratic ministry school education on page 279:.
this good news of the kingdom.

Australia formally charges former JW elder
by Honesty informer jehovah's elder on sex assault charge .
a former jehovah's witness elder who apologised to his alleged victim on facebook has been charged with two counts of indecent assault.
richard hill will appear in the heidelberg magistrate's court on march 1 over allegations that he sexually assaulted a six-year-old girl in 1981.. the victim, now 38, told fairfax media that mr hill did everything except penetrate her - ''he tried, but couldn't manage''.. she said she ''did not realise the gravity'' of what had happened until she was about 14.. at that point she told her mother, who could not act because of a jehovah's witness rule that allegations of sexual abuse would only be acted on if two elders witnessed it, she said.. much later, the victim confronted mr hill on facebook.

Anyone know what the court outcome of this charge was on March 1?

Blondie's Comments You Will Not Hear at the 12-04-2011 WT Study (RECREATION)
by blondie inwants us to enjoy life?
4. why do we need to set limits on the kind of recreation.
well to determine in advance whether some.
-
LUKEWARM
12 So, then, when it comes to spending
time on recreation, we do well to count the
cost in advance. (Luke 14:28) We need to determine
how much of our time a certain leisure
activity will cost. Next, we must decide
how much of our time it is worth. If pursuing
a form of recreation will mean neglecting
such important activities as personal
Bible study, family worship, attending
Christian meetings, or sharing in Kingdom
preaching, it is not worth the price. (Mark 8:
36) But if an occasional leisure activity energizes
us to keep on pursuing Kingdom interests,
we may well decide that the time we
spend on that type of recreation is worthwhile.
,
Quoting Mark 8:36 in this context is another way of saying that only Jehovah's Witnesses who are meeting all the requirements listed here by the douches in Brooklyn will be saved ;(
.
Thanks for your brilliant analysis each week Blondie!!

Incredible the lengths the WTS go to to maintain that at the time of the accident, Nunes was not engaged in Field Service as their agent, but rather pursuant to her personal religious convictions!

Blondie's Comments You Will Not Hear at the 09-25-2011 WT Study (ENTER REST)
by blondie inhowever, love for god and for his.
our love for god and his dear son = is of no value unless we are part of the human/earthly organization, the wts.
how many scriptures are actually read and applied at a meeting?

Thanks Blondie!
I read each week and want to say that you do such a great job cutting through the Watchtower BULL***T!
I think one of your comments above summs up this article perfectly:
The average JW needs to be " Absolutely convinced" that the WTS way is God’s way even if there is no scripture…even though they are imperfect, not infallible or inspired.
After 30+ years in their organization, articles like this make me sick thinking that I once associated, supported and advocated this religion.
The GB's arrogance and self-aggrandizement is disgusing
They are nothing but Pharisees who Jesus described as "Blind guides, who strain out the gnat but gulp down the camel!" (Matt. 23:24)

Logical Questions to Make Them Think?
by sweet pea inthis has no doubt been covered before and if anyone has any favourite threads on this subject perhaps they could post them here .
what are your best one liners/questions to make jw's think?.
i had a heated conversation with my mum this weekend and apart from mainly going round in circles (as is often the case with brainwashed cult members) one thing made her stop and i could see that she was having major trouble processing the logic.

GB says they are NOT responsible for people acting on their counsel

15if a witness makes decisions on the basis of bible counsel offered by the governing body, he does so of his own volition because his own study of the bible has convinced him that this is the proper course.

Watchtower says Hemoglobin Constitutes 33% of A Red Blood Cell. AJWRB says its 97%. Which is Correct?
by LUKEWARM ini'm confused at the huge variance in these percentages - where can i find exactly what % of a red blood cell is made up of hemoglobin?.
km 11/06 says its 33%.

Makes sense – many thanks all!
In my opinion this is another example of their selective publishing – only printing what supports their purpose - deliberately choosing what they say to suit themselves.
Technically accurate but still misleading and manipulative to their readership who are told not to research beyond WTS information.

Can you elaborate on "dry content"?
Where can I find the actual % breakdown of all contents in a Red Blood Cell?
