Thank You all so much. This is where I grew up and these are the most self righteous, stuck-up witnesess I have known. This is the second or third year this paper has run an article glorifying them and the assembly. I wonder if the writer or editor is some how associated.

i'm trying to compare some statistics and figures on this to share later in the thread to see if more long-time witnesses are exiting- or are newer witnesses exiting after a shorter period of time.
and - are more people exiting in the last 10 to 15 years than before.
so your answers would be helpful in looking into this .
Left in 2001 after 31 years. I was 3 when my mother started studying. Was baptized at age 13 .
i still can't believe it.
she was here for the bbq, we had an awesome time, laughing, her telling stories from our childhoods.
i gave her a hug and told her i loved her before she left.

this was a list of my experiences as a young dub that i penned about a dozen years ago.. it was based on the theme in the watchtower article referenced below that i remember reading all that many years ago.. *** w71 6/15 367 remembering your creator in the days of your young manhood ***.

Farkel as a fellow born in I know exactly what you mean. I have felt all of those same emotions. I remember one Christmas eve when I was very young I wrapped up some of my toys in tin foil and placed them under a plant we had in the living room so I could unwrap them in the morning. How pathetic was I? The only thing that that I can tell you to do is enjoy the hell out of the holidays now. We decorate for every holiday with inflatables and lights and it is a wonderful feeling. I take the kids trick or treating and just stand there with a huge grin on my face living through them. It feels so right just being normal. Enjoy your life now, but it is hard not to regret the hand we were dealt as kids.

she looked through her bag said she didn't but could get me a copy and bring it back to me.
restrangled-I mean no disrepect but my mother is also in her 70's and still pioneering she can go door to door and spew the JW garbage every day but has not seen her grandchildren in 8 years and never met her 4 year old grandson all though I have begged for years she is there only grandparent and does not care about anything but the orginization. So I am very well aware of what these older ones are all about.

I am not rude to anybody that comes to my door.Despite all of the crap I have had to deal with due to this cult I would never take it out on one of the lost souls that comes to my door unless they don't act like a christian and then I will respond appropretly, but still keep my dignity
These people no matter there age have destroyed a lot of lives including there own families and they will be held accountable in the end.

sammieswife- .Exactly don't come to my door not expecting to have to defend your religion. They go out trying to tell everybody else how wrong there religion is, well guess what every day there are more and more educated people in the world who know all about there religion and it ain't pretty. So those days of sweet chit chat handing out a tract and going on in my opinion are coming to an end .Thank you great internet god.
