Cleaning after the assembly while in your meeting clothes. I guess not mandatory but certainly guilted into.

i'm new to this forum and look forward to getting to know you guys.. just a short summary about me, i was raised a jw, baptized at 15, married at 25, moved a few states away, started fading away about a year and a half ago.

started doing some searching about some long-standing doubts and completely sure now that this isnt the truth.

being out is still new and very difficult, but i'm making strides every day.. as i said, i look forward to getting to know you all..

Welcome from Colorado. It seems when we have children we really start to examine how we were raised and if this is what we want for our children. Maybe your mother and sisters will come around. My husband had the same problem at out wedding his brother was not allowed to be his best man because he was inactive. I wish we had taken a stand but we were naive back then. I think you have found a good place to help you on your journey.

protecting them from pee pees to funny. Still waters run deep. I think the more they try to keep them from the "world" the more they run to it. I believe balance is the key. The JW's loved running there own school because there were no holidays, birthdays,evolution,sex ed. etc.....Raising kids in a bubble.

Journey-

These were not WT schools. They were run by JW teachers and parents who got together and opened them to keep there kids out of the "world"

no more kool aid-

Good for your son you never enrolled him . I just rember it was very unstructured. Not a great education as you can imagine.Some of the teachers were quite odd. I belive my 4 th grade teacher claimed to be one of the annointed and she was crazy. I wonder if they still have schools like these around or do they just home school if they don't want them with the "world"?

I t was quite odd and I do believe I have suppressed most of my memories of it. Has anybody else ever heard of such a thing ? The teachers and principal were all JW's. I don't know what happened to it or why I quit going.Anybody?

What are the baptism Questions?

i have asked before for help with my niece who is getting baptized this summer.

she emailed to say she was in the middle of going over the baptism questions with the elders.

i believe they are out of the organized to do jehovah's will book?

How many TIMES can a JW be DF'd before the ELDERS dismiss them PERMANENTLY?

i know a "sister" who has been df'd 10 times for adultery within a period of 15 years..... she is married....her hubby was an elder until she got df'd for the 1st time...he was then deleted....apparently the sister was not happy in the bedroom, he was always away doing cong duties, including jcs....... she keeps getting reinstated, and usually it does'nt take long for her (not the usual 6 months).....apparently she is a very good actress (she cries like a baby in the jcs )..... how many times can she keep getting df'd and reinstated like this until the elders say it is enough?.
