Yes my husband and I actually were married by a gay elder (long story). Anyway he was married with two children. The funny thing was when he first moved to our hall and commented he had such an obvious lisp just about everybody turned around to look. I know that was wrong, but in a hall it was a strange thing to hear.He was married for a number of years but I guess it was to much for him, he left her and the "truth" started taking drugs. The last I heard he was living with a guy and off the drugs. Sad all the way around.

gays in your congregation...?
by Albert Einstein inaccording statistics, there should be in every congregation about 4 gays.. my experience is, that some decided to live a "normal" life and get married and you hardly noticed them.. but there are some types, who, from how they speak and behave, are absolutely obvious gays.
did you have them in your congo?
how did your congregation treat them?.

Who have you lost?
by alamb ini wonder if we each put up who we lost from our lives and how long ago if it would be a testament to those who might find this thread and think.
the absurdity.. my parents: 12 years.
my brother: 12 years (he is now married).

My mother I have not seen her in 7 years. She has never seen her 4 year old grandson. My BIL his wife, there two children and there spouses and there children.Numerous friends I have grown up with, some were 30 year friendships. But the joy of knowing my children are not being raised in this insanity is more than worth it in the long run.

Yes my son got two. He is still deciding whether to stay in state or go out of state. We are very proud of him . He graduates high school in two weeks and it is so nice he will have a bright future. The kicker is he is interested in law enforcement. He has been a cadet with the local sheriffs dept for the past two years. So the JW side of the family is not only upset about the college thing, but being a cop oh the horror.

by palmtree67 inok, so my man coaches pee-wee football.
so i go at 10 this morning to watch 13 eight to ten year olds fumble around on the field for 2 hours.
but this was an "optional" practice and so the ones who showed up - really wanted to be there to learn.

Yes life is good ...... now! Happiness in the simple things that mean so much. Our family participates in community events that help everyone. You really feel like you are doing something good, compared to the drudgery of imposed service to the Watchtower.

If Goverment admits ET's exist how will JW's deal with it?
by outofservice inhttp://washingtontimes.com/news/2009/apr/21/astronaut-says-were-not-alone/.
not a debate on whether they exist.
i personally believe the universe is far too vast for us to be the only creation out there.

Not a debate on whether they exist. I personally believe the universe is far too vast for us to be the only creation out there. Also God put life on one planet and that is it? He sits around doing nothing? Anyway my question is if the government or some other agency comes out with undeniable proof of life on other planets how will the Dubs react? I know I have always heard the argument humans have to make an answer for sovereignty right? I say humans yes but the other life out there is probably not human. Just wonder what crazy thing they would come up with.
