  Can You See How Idiotic The JW Religion Now Is?

  i was telling my gf about my mom's removal as a regular pioneer when she was about 80 years old because she went to my daughter's wedding (and she married a non-jw).. my girlfriend couldn't grasp the severity of my mother's sin and as i explained the witnesses' position, it all sounded so absurd!.

  have you experienced anything similar?.

  I was just explaining the Shunning to an aquaintaince and she was stunned. She kept asking me "how can they do that and be Christians? What would Jesus do? Would Jesus act that way"? That is such a common response when I have explained the JW approach. People are so unaware of how JWs treat their own, it is surprising.

  I have not read any of these responses.

  I was 13 when I made friends with a new gal in the cong. Her Mom was a Baptized JW her dad was not interested.

  I met my friend at the KH and then at high school and we ended up having sleepovers. I slept over at her home usually. We had less room and my mom was divorced. That was kind of a deal breaker in our cong.

  Her dad was a creepy bathroom creeper. He would come in when I showered in the morning and would use he toilet while I was using the shower!!

  He would then peek into the shower and ask was in there? He would pull back the curtain while holding his weiner and look me over. He would then lean on the toilet for a minute while I fumbled with the curtain and tried to cover up. I was freaking out! I was a 13 YO girl who was embarrassed to go into the girls locker room in gym class and this creep is looking in on me in the shower. I don't know what he was doing to himself while I tried to cover up, but I can guess.

  I told my JW mom who told me to not tell anyone and just be quiet. We needed to encourage Mr. G. to come into the Truth and this might be way.

  I ended up going to my friends home two more times and her creepy father did it again. My mother threw me under the bus for the Watchtower.

  I confronted her about it recently and she admitted it,yet, wouldn't say it was the wrong thing to do to recruit someone.

  This still bothers me 35 years later. I can only guess what he did to his daughter and no one did a thing for her.

  The worst part is my Mom's total disconnect and inability to see that allowing your child to be molested for the Watchtower is insane.

  i haven't been on here much lately, but i read barb anderson's report on the court case in california the other day.

  nice to see the borg finally getting what they deserve.. anyway, the daily mail has done a story about it and at the end you can give your comments.

  i think there are a number of 'faithful witlesses' on there who are giving the "thumbs down" to any negative comments about the borg, including mine.

  can anyone imagine the what the elders in his current congregation must be going through ?!.

  in their ideal world, they would have df'd him once they knew there would be a trial so they could play the card "he's not one of jw's.

  " but since it occurred in a different congregation and he was already punished, there is little they can currently do.. wow, imagine the buzz in the kh when the info started leaking out.

  I found out my Mom had been at the Assembly all day Friday and yesterday; she hadn't heard about this. I found the ABC link and e-mailed that with a short note.

  She just phoned me to tell me she was surprised.

  She knows that the Society is going to appeal.

  Her words on Kendrick: "The bible said there will be be wolves among us". I just grunted.

  She then asked if I had looked at the pedo registry for my area? I said I hadn't since I don't have children at home and I'm not a child.

  She was trying to deflect.

  She is very upset by this but believes the Society will get off.

  the plaintiff, candace conti's goal from the very beginning was to bring enough attention to this problem to incentivize watchtower to change its policy of secrecy.

  the award can be explained as it was decided: separate compensatory and punitive damages.

  the punitive award is established in law to punish wrongdoing - here, the conscious disregard for others - and deter that conduct in the future.

  I usually get 3-5 e-mails a day from my JW aunt in California. Today? Not one.

  My Mom, who has some major issues regarding pedofiles, hasn't called today, usually I get 2-3 calls a day since my sister passed.

  I have no doubt they are trying to figure out how to spin this.

  I'm thrilled she got so much.

  god bless the usa song by lee greenwood...is making little kids sing a bieber love song instead lmao...baby baby baby....and it is a very long segment with lee himself making good points about the idiot jw as did the mom of a kid the jw lady principle bitch slapped for singing the song...that is not literal all you pc sensitive types out there.....oompa.

  Nephew Readying for Harvard

  since he disregarded the elders' "encouragement" to turn down the fellowship offer from harvard, he's being deleted as a ministerial servant.. he leaves in august.. i'm so happy for and proud of him!.

  I have to brag about my kid

  alex, our youngest graduated cum laude from the university of washington today with a bachelor's in environmental science and a minor in quantitative analysis.

  he has a job in his field.

  he and his fiance, who also graduated today (biology) are getting married july 1. she's starting a phd program at berkeley in august, so they're moving.
