thaks cantleave,
where did you get that information from?
i got babtized at the age of 23. i was not a so called born in guy.
i started studying the bible at 20, and before that i never heard of the jw-religion.
so everything was pretty new for me.. to make a long story short: a month or so after baptizm, i felt probably lonley one evenig and got drunk right out of my brains.

to make a long story short: a month or so after baptizm, i felt probably lonley one evenig and got drunk right out of my brains. actually there was no specific reason other than i just got carried away. the following morning i woke up with an extremely bad consiance, and thought what a damned sinner i was! gosh, did i suffer from guilt! because of that, the following years i occasionally did the same thing now and again. i even secretly started smoking at one point.
for many years, i thought that i was the only one who did so. until i witnessed some other brothers overdone it with the booze.
so to my question: did any of you done the same while being a jw? i used to confess a few times, but it happend to often, so i didn`t bother in the end.
did you also have a guilty consiance during your jw-time?

the following has been confirmed by the witchtower bubble and trick society.... los angeles, ca, usa the numerous michael jackson sightings since his tragic death on june 25th gained credibility today when the jackson family finally revealed that the reason he has yet to be buried is that his corpse has been missing since three days after his death.. .
biblical scholars were astounded to discover that the previously reported "needle marks" on jackson's corpse were perfectly aligned with the wounds on the corpse of the previous incarnation of the messiah when the full autopsy report was revealed earlier this week.
even the scarring on jackson's scalp corresponds with the wounds left by the crown of thorns.. .
we read about all that shi** when elvis and jim morisson died.
all just blablabla.
me and my wife just got this great book from the library entitled 'i'm perfect you're doomed:tales from a jehovah's witness upbringing' writtin by kyria abrahams (an ex-jw).
i'm not sure if anyone else has mentioned or read it (it's still fairly new), but it is a great book.
for anyone who was raised in the 'troof' or group up in it you will find it very interesting.
could you please also mention the book company and number?
thanks.
when i was a jw, i knew a brother who later on, became a great rank and file guy at the german bethel.. to make a long story short: he was a type of person, who i`d consider to be a die hard jw, who you couldn`t imagine leaving the jws.. so, i was obviously shocked to hear one day, that he not only left the wts, but also became an active member of the katholic church.. now this is one of the weirdest things i have ever expirienced as a jw at thet time.. .
so, right now i`m trying to find out where he lives and what he`s up to theese days.
i would like to interview him, to find out the details which led to his decision.. his wife though, is still working at bethel.
hi nell,
thank you. didn`t think of that.

his wife though, is still working at bethel. so i thought of trying to contact her under a false name, so i can get hold of his number. i went on the societies website, but discovered no email-address.
so the wts has no official email-address?
has anyone maybe have a clue how to get in touch with bethel without exposing myself?
thanks

it might be an unpopular question.
but, does anyone here still believe in the end of the world through the hand of god?.
call it amageddon or whatever.. .

have anyone ever heard of jehovahs witnesses who are not associated with the wts?.
i slightly remember a small group here in germany who called themselves "the new jehovahs witnesses".
they basicly did the same (preaching from door to door, and gathered now and again), but obviously did`nt agree with some of the wts-teachings.. another thing i observed over the years, is the fact that ex-jws who wanted to come back to the congregation, started off by attending the meetings, and then later on (after being accepted again), done the field-service.. but, i have never noticed ex-jws doing it vice versa.
that is weird!

any comments?
