  a statement that phizzy made on jonathan drake's thread on flyers gave me the following ideas.. we should make a flyer on the issue of the watchtower pedophilia issue written with the object of alerting the public about the jw door to door activity.

  phizzy suggested the title, "the paedophile at your door".. on that flyer should be the contact information of our most informed member on the subject who's willing to talk to the media.

  seriously, how can it be ok for someone to say of themselves that they are "by far the meekest and most humble person" on the earth?.

  numbers 12:3 'now the man moses was by far the meekest of all the men on the face of the earth'.

  yes, moses was so humble that he told everyone about it!!?!.

  Convicted in December 2006 of sexual assault on a minor that occurred between 1985 and 1992, Marcel Simonin, 67, who was an elder in the Jehovah's Witnesses in Châteauguay at the time of the crimes, was sentenced to a term of nine-month prison sentence he will serve in the community.
  
  Simonin was sentenced last Wednesday at the Valleyfield courthouse.At the time of the first assault, the victim, a young girl was only eleven years old.
  
  It was at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Châteauguay that the mother of the young victim had met the individual who then occupied the role of Elder, that is to say, he was speaking at the Meetings. He taught life precepts and spiritually supported members of the congregation.
  
  After successfully gaining the confidence of this woman and her daughter, he later started to intimate contact with the teen, contacts from simple touching to complete sexual intercourse.
  
  During those eight years, the attacks occurred in several places, especially in the individual's home, in his car, at the home of the girl and the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Châteauguay.

  It is another elder from the Quebec City area where the mother and the complainant had relocated, who convinced her to write a letter to the authorities of the Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses of her experiences with the accused.
  
  Following receipt of this letter, Simonin telephoned his victim to apologize for the actions after having recognized the truth. The complainant would have forgiven him.
  
  But when, in 2003, the girl seeing the accused at a convention of Jehovah's Witnesses at the Olympic Stadium in Montreal, his presence rekindles her injuries and made her relive the guilt experienced during the years she has been the victim of touching. After this, followed difficult years for the girl where she made three suicide attempts and began psychological counseling.
  
  In 2005, in order to continue her therapeutic approach and free herself, the girl again decides to file a complaint against the accused.
  
  Believing that the credibility of the accused - who had always denied the alleged acts - was affected for many reasons, the Tribunal declared Marcel Simonin guilty of sexual assault under section 246.1 (1) a), 271 (1) a) and 153 (1) a) of the Criminal Code.
  
  Before 1996, a person convicted of a criminal offense and sentenced to a term of imprisonment of less than two years was to serve his sentence in custody in a prison. Today, a person sentenced to a term of imprisonment of less than two years may serve that sentence in the community if the court considers that a conditional sentence of imprisonment is appropriate.
  
  The Sun tried unsuccessfully last Thursday to join the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Châteauguay for comment. Officially, the Jehovah's Witnesses oppose pedophilia.

  can anyone confirm they seem to be having disagreement writing dept and service dept some feel that df ok as long as you do not add wholesale across the board shunning regardless of the sin ..

  What is dating as a JW like

  first off i want to say that i'm a teenager which makes my situation interesting.

  i don't want to give too many details in case someone i know reads this but i'm between 14 and 18, homeschooled, and i've been awake for around one or one and a half years.

  i already have a plan to attend usc or wisconsin university if i'm smart enough to get in and then move to san jose and try and get a job working for a hs football team or with a soccer team, since i want to coach sports or be an agent.. now, this all sounds great in theory but there's one thing i've been thinking about that makes me doubt my plan.

  the tricky thing about a mass mailing to all the kingdom halls is that mail is often not delivered to the kingdom hall but to a po box.

  it is super easy to get all the addresses to hundreds of kingdom halls across the country and even have those addresses printed out for you as labels!

  but when i did that before i got about a third of them back.

  The World Seems to Think Putin Is King of The North

  this past october geoffrey jackson told the audience at the watchtower corporate meeting that "they aren't sure who the new king of the north is".. this was applauded as new light.

  but if you look up the search terms putin king of the north your won't see jw.org pop up as a top search result.

  i checked through the first 100 results and n-o-t-h-i-n-g.. isn't interpretation of prophecy the special territory of the jw's.
