Seriously Considering A Billboard Ad?

a full billboard ad in my area along a busy heavily travelled highway would cost about $500.

would probably get lots of attention and maybe even a news article, who knows.

$500 is cheap and easily affordable.

Does God Create Evil?

the view held by christian theology is that god did not create evil.

you may argue this point using scripture to support either side.

however that argument is but a symptom of a much larger problem which is choice and free will.. the concept among christians is that sin, suffering, and evil deeds began with the original sin.

I love these subjects, for they prove why the God of the three main monotheistic religions simply is as real as a very short man taking a ring to the depths of a mountain, only to have another short man bite his finger off.

Before God created the beings that were acclaimed to him, evil did not exist. Ergo, God brought evil into the known universe. We could state otherwise, but doing so would only increase a case in which another being, possessing the same power as this God, brought it into the known universe, or that it simply evolved, which would make this God incompetent or benevolent. Take your pick.

Unfortunately, the nomadic shepherds that were telling these tales didn't think it all through. I don't blame them, for many nomads were telling stories and those stories were being catalogued throughout the ages (Horus, Mythra, the flood, pillar of salt, etc). Hence why I state that the Bible is the original form of Open Source. Unfortunately for us, we are not allowed to amend, change or update it any longer. At this point, I'd like to end by using the proverbial 'the ship has sailed', and that the Bible is 'a closed book'.

I like to the use the CityDesk software analogy. Those that used it in its pomp, would tell you that it was the greatest kept secret when creating websites. However, all good things come to an end and sure enough, CityDesk met its end in 2006. Since then, no updates, service packs nor support have been forthcoming, but still, many business continue to use it in the fear of losing their web rankings, for they are under the false impression that if they are to move their website to another, newer CMS (Content Management System), Google will drop them like an apostate at an elders meeting.

Many bosses and webmasters burden themselves with it, struggling to bend their will to this software dinosaur. Some aspects are simply left behind, for we can live without that as times have changed (stoning people for eating on a Saturday night, etc.), but the core concept of CityDesk remains. Sound familiar?

God = Evil - Love = No God

Hi and welcome to JWN mate.

As a JW, you are taught to care what others in the kingdom hall think of you and how they would judge you. Therefore, this is my advice; don't think badly if people disagree with you. Don't fuss yourself with what others think of you, unless it's your partner and/or children.

I had a similar experience. I took the "Organisation's" advice and read the Bible daily. After covering the first few chapters of Genesis, I realised that the God of the Bible was as real as the Tooth Fairy and Frodo.

Does WikiLeaks have any Scoop on the WTBTS to be released?

since wl deals with documented facts, not merely rumors and speculations.....what would you most like to see documented and revealed about the watchtower, the gb members, or the wt true agenda?.

if you could ask wl to dig up information about any curiosity you have concerning this cult....what would you have them investigate?.

do you think there is any information that will be released concerning religions and cults?.

I don't get it? Why would the GB allow these numbers to be published? Please don't say it's because they're arrogant, because we all know they are arrogant, but I have a gut feeling that there's an underlying reason for this figure work.

2009 Partakers = 10,857

2008 Partakers = 9,986

They must have a plan. I can see a special talk being given in 2014 at the District Conventions where they will state that new light has shown them that the 144,000 number was symbolical after all.

That would be so funny, but I could see it happening, otherwise, a billion $ organisation doesn't make slip ups like this unless there's a plan.

A Big Thanks to John Williams at Bethel

about five years ago, john williams came to philadelphia, ms as a visiting bethel speaker for our special assembly day.

i was well acquainted with him, as he had been to my kh before as a special weekend speaker, and also to a neighboring congregation.

in his afernoon talk, he goes off about social network websites and he made this statement: "brothers, make no mistake about it, myspace is no place for christians".

I'd also like to thank John Williams for all the great musical themes he has added to movies such as Star Wars, Superman, Harry Potter, Catch Me If You Can, Indian Jones, Jurassic Park, Jaws, Amistad, E.T., Empire of the Sun, Home Alone and the Long Goodbye.

If you're referring to the John Williams that lives in the UK, I also know that twat. He frequented our home several times in a bid to get a free lunch.

Pioneers/Bethelites/Most Jws = Freeloaders.
