  i am concerned about the spiritual welfare of the jehovah's witnesses.

  surely we all have noticed an unhealthy development in their leaders attitude, the "governing body".

  they have more and more begun to emphasize their importance and their power, in the literature and talks and thereby drawing unnecessary much attention to themselves.

  Jan, I take it you believe that this Jehovah fella created the heavens and the earth, caused the flood, turned Lot's wife into salt, then allowed Lot to have an orgy with both his virgin daughters, freed the Israelites from Egypt, caused a bear to kill children and is soon to kill 99% of the worlds population (including new born babies) in the biggest known genocide ever, Armageddon?

  Er, can I ask why? I think you should be looking at that, before chasing your tail and asking why the cult is going down the route it's so obviously going down...

  New Here, Hello Guys - New website idea

  hello, i'm a 'active' 17 yr. old jw, saw this site before when i was still searching for answers, i gotta say, it's not a good site to convert jws, because most of the people on here seem to hate the "borg" (as you call it on here?

  i rather had to go on a scientific forum to get answers to my questions about jw (or rather the bible in general) with a very open mind, and actually thinking to convert some of them if i was lucky.

  rather, i saw that everything the society gave us was easily refutable, or on shaky grounds.

  Can I ask why you think evolution is ridiculous? Read through some of the articles on Atheists Weekly or some of the posts on here. I think you'll find it's the Bible's account of creation that is completely and utterly ridiculous.

  satan is the author and orchestrator of false religion.

  pauls warning about false stories is part of his first letter to timothy, a christian overseer who was charged with preserving the purity of the congregation and helping fellow believers to remain faithful.

  Just so that you know, there was a lot of that story that I didn't publish as we were told not to disclose all the facts, in fear that others would understand who the family is and the repercussions that would carry with it.

  I find in painfully ignorant on your behalf that you parade this story as false. Get to know your cult properly. Speak to ones that have had their lives completely shattered by this organisation, then ask yourself if these poor souls are also lying.

  Maze, a reality check is needed my dear.

  what is stopping gb member from syphoning some cash to some offshore account and disappearing from brooklyn to live a good life?

  i don't believe that all gb members believe all the shit found in their publications but if they could get their hands on some money couldn't they just disappear?

  What's going on at 100 Henry Street?

  id like to first clarify that i am not a conspiracy theorist by any stretch of the imagination.

  however, i couldnt resist connecting the dots on some research ive been doing recently about watchtower spin-off corporations.

  one such corporation that caught my attention is located just a few blocks away from the wtbts headquarters in brooklyn, quite possibly in a back room at the st george hotel on 100 henry street.

  i was wondering if anyone had a stat on how many ex-dubs are out there that are comprised of df'd, da'd, faded, etc.

  basically, how many ex-jdubs exist outside of the realm of the ~7 million or so current and faithful jdubs... from the beginning of this cult until now (including those that have died) - rough idea..

  Is there a "dominent family" in your hall?

  back years ago when we were getting ready to split, i suggested that two or three bros and their families went to the other hall, otherwise 75% of our new body would be belong to the same family.

  my idea was shot down.

  so, any time we needed a show of hands, all six of those men (father, two sons, two son in laws, a brother to one son in law) always voted the same way.
