  why do they appear so similar?.

  many times i've been accused of using watchtower material in my presentations, when all i really own is a few bible translations and my concordance, which i rely on quite heavily, at times.

  as for owning any watchtower material that i copy from, i have none of that, in my room at all that i use!

  The Internet and Freespeach

  it occurd to me (being relativly new to the internet) that the internet allows the world to unite under the blanket of freespeach.. the internet really has moved humanity forward, people of all races and nationalities, all religions and sexual prefrences have had the internet as a tool to change the thinking of people.. maybe the internet will be the one thing that keeps our blood being spilled by some fanatical government that seeks to divide our countries?.

  on a smaller note a poster named "minimus" started a topic titled "does your life have meaning.

  " it occurd to me that this board exsposes the watchtower organisation .people myself included have been freed because of the internet.

  the watchtower society implodes from within even making final printed admissions that it is voluntarily dismantling it's mission and legally dissolving the corporations.

  Oh and "Truly I say to you" always made me think that JC guy was an arrogant prick.

  how much power does the human imagination have?

  i've been wondering about all those "demonised" experiances that dubs have, and "ghost" sightings etc.

  i've been reading also about the theorys of carl jung.. do you think it is possible for the human imagination to conger up sights of things that the mind projects?.

  i would cite for instance "near death" experiances.. in these christains claim they see or hear god or angels, muslims have a experiance based on their faith etc and the different religons never inter mix in these cases.

  I once went out with a girl. We broke up because she was a raving lunatic. Next thing I know, she had told everyone that I had sex with animals.

  I also know of another instance where someone was labelled a paedofile after breaking up with a girl.

  Now, my main focus isn't that women have the greatest imagination in the above circumstances, it's that humans in general have the ability to think up some amazing stories. Look at the bible for starters. God, I want to know what the devil those dudes were smoking.....

  PS. I never did have sex with animals, just crazy women who acted a whole lot like they belonged in a zoo.

  uni is not all its cracked up to be me dears, sorry

  i've noticed on this forum the big regret of alot of people seems to be that they didn't go to collage or university.. speaking as someone whose done the whole shebang, i can tell you that while yes i learnt alot at collage, uni taught me very little at all.

  in fact anything i learnt i taught myself by spending hours apon hours in the uni libary, which i could have done by just getting a day pass.. my degree has not helped me in my career, i already knew how to do what i do before going to uni.

  i run my own business now but i am sure that if i ever went for an employee postion my years of experiance would count far more than the bit of paper i have proving i have a degree.. getting a degree is pretty much down to knowing how to work the academic system.

  I have to disagree with you HD.

  University has and is giving me the best opportunities, plus, I've made some great relationships with individuals that express an open and independent view on life. That in itself is enough for me to continue my studies for as long as humanly possible.

  i read this article on jehovah's witness blog and it really got me thinking, what really is faith?

  i do believe that the term "faith", can be used in different contexts.

  I read this article on Jehovah's Witness Blog and it really got me thinking, what really is faith? I do believe that the term "Faith", can be used in different contexts. For example, if we are stating that "I have faith in so-and-so, because I know them and they wouldn't have done something like that", then it's different to stating "I have faith in Jehovah".

  You see, even though we may be wrong in our assumption that our friend wouldn't have done the thing we were referring to in the above statement, at least we know the person. We should have evidence before making such a remark, right? We cannot, however, state anything about Jehovah, or any God, demi-god, etc, can we?

  And I do agree with the article, faith in a God of any kind, is blind faith.

  the things i threw away...

  i got thinking today about all the thing i have thrown away while in the cult, the books the music and the films etc, i felt a real loss because alot of the stuff was thrown on the filmist of reasons ie it had a fairy or a witch in it etc... it was 2nd hand and maybe demonised etc.

  made me want to go out on a mad shopping spree and buy it all back!.

  I never threw anything away, apart from my virginity, whilst on an apparent special ministry trip to Scotland (via Mallorca). I did miss out on college education, although managed to get that later in life.
