As a JW Were You or Someone you Knew Falsely Accused by Elders ?
by flipper inthought i'd put this out there to see if you knew of people in the jehovah's witnesses who were falsely accused or mistreated by the " police " or elders in the congregation.
many times it's been by experiencing injustices that get us to get shaken out of our cult thinking mode and reality kicks in and the scales fall from our eyes that the wt society is just a man made organization whose leaders are no better than us - actually in many cases more unscrupulous and conniving than any of us would have ever been to each other !
i was falsely accused 2 times .

When I was dating my wife, we were kissing in my new car at an LA area pier. I saw that some gang members had boxed me in and were starting to approach. I carried a gun with me at all times. This was actually non very uncommon for J-Dubs in gang infested areas. I held up my gun, without the young lady seeing it. They moved their cars to allow me to leave. During this time, car jacking and murders were common in my area. I was acting weird, as my fiance said, so I told her, that my conscience ws bothering me, so I wanted to abruptly leave. She was disturbed as a result of my statement. She told her elders. One that I was on several assembly programs with. He actually hated me because I was dating my wife. He said that I ws not good enough for her. Despite being a servant and a pioneer.
My elders called me in for a meeting. This elder said that I tried to RAPE my wife but she managed to get away. The story had so many details that I was wondering, "Did I do that?".
I had my future wife and mother come to my elders and deny the lies of the PO of another hall. Yes, there were more details that are many and bothersome, but I did not pursue the false claims.
I just eventually moved away.

Why do you come to this site?
by sinis inafter all the years i have been here, i have slowly progressed to the point that the bible, god, and all the other religious stuff out there is just plain bullshit!!!
yet when i first came here and was told by some of the members that that is what i would logically come to, i did not believe them, and yet they were right.
i realize that a lot of people on this board have left, or are struggling with themselves or family to leave, yet many still believe.

I like to hear of new changes within the organization. I also enjoy hearing personal stories of individuals struggles and hardships within and outside of the organization. I wonder how anyone intelligent can still be within the org.

Is the WTS preparing for a MASS EXODUS?
by passwordprotected inhobo ken and i were chatting about this yesterday.. the wts has past experience of losing vast numbers of members very quickly.
from their post-25 and post-75 experiences they will know how best to prepare their organisational structure to remain afloat when they experience another exodus.. we're only 5 years from the 100 year anniversary of ct russell walking into the dining room and announcing the gentile times had ended.
since then, millions of people have molded and adjusted their lives and personal expectations based on the date 1914. the wts must know that 2015 is going to bring with it one or two upset jws.... so, is the wts preparing for a mass exodus right now?.

Never, most witnesses that have seen the light, hang around for social reasons. MOST DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE, THEY JUST DON'T WANT TO LOSE THEIR DRINKINGPARTYGATHERING BUDDIES. The LA witnesses LOVE concerts and jazz festivals, why give that up for a little truth and integrity.

If A Police Officer "Asked" You To Do Something Would You Necessarily Do It?
by minimus inif a cop asked you if he could search your vehicle, would you let him?.
if a cop asked you personal information would you feel obliged to answer him?.
do you believe that a police officer has the "right" to question you about a matter simply because he's a cop?.

There was a cop in an LA surburb in LA that would get illegals to have sex with him or he would tow their car. The women did it. I would hope most women would not do this. He was eventually caught, but victimized many women.
The answer is emphatically NO!!!

I heard that he gave $300,000,000 during the course of his life to charities. This included paying for many funerals of children killed in gang violence across the US. It seems that the cost of the coffin is minimal in comparison.

Wow!! There are 40,000,000 black people in America......do they all have the same culture??? Are blacks in Miami, Texas and Oakland all the same??? Bad english, menial jobs, drankin' 40 ozs., driving cadillacs and eatin' wallamellon???
There is a large amount of diversity in the black community. I have never understood "Acting White" or Acting Black. Do the whites in lower Appalachia ACT White??? What about the ones in the trailer parks across the midwest. Boston?? Odessa, Texas???? There is diversity there as well. All are not magically gifted with the blessing of wealth, intelligence and success.
As a black male, the connotations associated with these statements is incredible. I assume you believe all Asians are good at math as well.
I think Mike may have had issues with his color and appearence because his father and brothers harassed him regarding his nose, among other things. I am not sure what demons this man dealt with daily. I find his story very interesting. I have NEVER had an interest in a celebrity in the past until now.
I have not really followed him since the 90's. I am not sure about the child molestation issues. I can only assume if someone molested one of my daughters or sons, I would perfer to see their cold body quivering in a purple pool of blood vs any amount of money. I would assume that any parent would do the same. I do not think an amount of money would stop me from making this person physically attone for their ins.

GREAT POST!!!
As mentioned, this was typical attitude of the witnesses. I remember our elder (early 1980's) saying that if you play pac-man, you could get reproved. The ghost were related to spiritism.
We all have endured the harsh, BS for many years!!

Has anyone got anything positive from the WT organisation?
by BloominMarvellous ineveryone seems to just hate the wt.. i am very upset with the way ive been treated but i dont hate them.. they have given me huge self confidence after helping me out of depression, although i have a fab counsellor, so they cant get all the credit.
they have made me independent as well, (i think my ex-study conductor regrets that!
) i suddenly have a mind of my own and am not afraid to use it.. i owe them quite a lot they have really helped me through some bad times but they have created some bad times for me too.

I think many are miserable and need to blame someone for their failed dreams. Why not the WT. Every religious organization has flaws and imperfect people. THe WT just does not admit mistakes, so that makes it harder to digest.
