With this new logic and reasoning, it appears that there will truly NOT be any intelligent J-Dubs in the org. This teaching will be ignored and 5 years before it reverts back to a previous understanding, the majority of dubs will examine it.

I have learned that anyone that actually READS the magazines can NOT possibly believe the garbage!!! The generation teaching will never go away. The explanations are becoming more and more difficult to back themselves out of. The new light has to enlighten the few intelligent J-Dubs in the dark!!!

How Many Here Actually "Studied" The Publications?
by minimus inwhen i was a teenager i extensively studied nearly every publication.
i especially enjoyed looking up the root words meanings in the hebrew and greek of the bible language.
it gave me the flavor of a word and its origins.

As a JW Were You or Someone you Knew Falsely Accused by Elders ?
by flipper inthought i'd put this out there to see if you knew of people in the jehovah's witnesses who were falsely accused or mistreated by the " police " or elders in the congregation.
many times it's been by experiencing injustices that get us to get shaken out of our cult thinking mode and reality kicks in and the scales fall from our eyes that the wt society is just a man made organization whose leaders are no better than us - actually in many cases more unscrupulous and conniving than any of us would have ever been to each other !
i was falsely accused 2 times .

When I was dating my wife, we were kissing in my new car at an LA area pier. I saw that some gang members had boxed me in and were starting to approach. I carried a gun with me at all times. This was actually non very uncommon for J-Dubs in gang infested areas. I held up my gun, without the young lady seeing it. They moved their cars to allow me to leave. During this time, car jacking and murders were common in my area. I was acting weird, as my fiance said, so I told her, that my conscience ws bothering me, so I wanted to abruptly leave. She was disturbed as a result of my statement. She told her elders. One that I was on several assembly programs with. He actually hated me because I was dating my wife. He said that I ws not good enough for her. Despite being a servant and a pioneer.
My elders called me in for a meeting. This elder said that I tried to RAPE my wife but she managed to get away. The story had so many details that I was wondering, "Did I do that?".
I had my future wife and mother come to my elders and deny the lies of the PO of another hall. Yes, there were more details that are many and bothersome, but I did not pursue the false claims.
I just eventually moved away.

Why do you come to this site?
by sinis inafter all the years i have been here, i have slowly progressed to the point that the bible, god, and all the other religious stuff out there is just plain bullshit!!!
yet when i first came here and was told by some of the members that that is what i would logically come to, i did not believe them, and yet they were right.
i realize that a lot of people on this board have left, or are struggling with themselves or family to leave, yet many still believe.

I like to hear of new changes within the organization. I also enjoy hearing personal stories of individuals struggles and hardships within and outside of the organization. I wonder how anyone intelligent can still be within the org.

Is the WTS preparing for a MASS EXODUS?
by passwordprotected inhobo ken and i were chatting about this yesterday.. the wts has past experience of losing vast numbers of members very quickly.
from their post-25 and post-75 experiences they will know how best to prepare their organisational structure to remain afloat when they experience another exodus.. we're only 5 years from the 100 year anniversary of ct russell walking into the dining room and announcing the gentile times had ended.
since then, millions of people have molded and adjusted their lives and personal expectations based on the date 1914. the wts must know that 2015 is going to bring with it one or two upset jws.... so, is the wts preparing for a mass exodus right now?.

Never, most witnesses that have seen the light, hang around for social reasons. MOST DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE, THEY JUST DON'T WANT TO LOSE THEIR DRINKINGPARTYGATHERING BUDDIES. The LA witnesses LOVE concerts and jazz festivals, why give that up for a little truth and integrity.

If A Police Officer "Asked" You To Do Something Would You Necessarily Do It?
by minimus inif a cop asked you if he could search your vehicle, would you let him?.
if a cop asked you personal information would you feel obliged to answer him?.
do you believe that a police officer has the "right" to question you about a matter simply because he's a cop?.

There was a cop in an LA surburb in LA that would get illegals to have sex with him or he would tow their car. The women did it. I would hope most women would not do this. He was eventually caught, but victimized many women.
The answer is emphatically NO!!!

I heard that he gave $300,000,000 during the course of his life to charities. This included paying for many funerals of children killed in gang violence across the US. It seems that the cost of the coffin is minimal in comparison.
