The watchtower is a multibillion-dollar corporation that will never cease to exist. It is a gigantic powerful publishing company. They will adjust their teachings/methods and bring in new members as older ones become awakened and exit.

Don't count on witnessing Watchtower's demise anytime soon.
by Roger Kirkpatrick inthe fact that there are pomi ex-jws who have been disfellowshiped or inactive for years who still live in constant fear of armageddon indicates that watchtower will manage to exist in one way or another for years, if not decades, to come.
watchtower, like all other religious cults, operate on the premise that "you can fool some of the people all of the time...and that's enough!

Would You Stop Buying A Product Because of Political Differences?
by minimus inwould you stop buying nike products because you didn’t like their politics?
conversely, would you give business to a company because you liked their political stand on a matter?
would you stop watching an entertainer because you disagree with their political perspectives?

Most definitely! I supported an effort at my high school to remove Coca-Cola products in the late 80s. This was because they were doing business in South Africa. Very proud to have been a part of this. I still practice this form of protest 30+ years later.

Why Did You Stay In The JW Religion As Long As You Did?
by minimus inwere you so indoctrinated that you just couldn’t leave?
was it due to family pressure?
was it your friendships that you didn’t want to lose?

Great question! I KNEW it was the “Troouf” but I knew something was not right. Small things that would happen would give me small signs.
First, the generation change in 1995 completely blew up my world! I still continued going though!!
When my son turned five years old, he wanted a birthday party. I wrote to the boys in Brooklyn regarding how the angels celebrated it when Jesus was born… their only response was that a true Christian would not celebrate a birthday. Read flag!!
I moved from South los Angeles to a Very diverse community. I had never felt such an unloving environment in my life!!! Almost hostile!
This was another major red flag, because the trademark of a witness is love!
I continued going sporadically just to maintain social contact with my friends of 30+years. I could always use my job as an excuse for missing meetings, since I drove 160 miles round-trip. Eventually, the watchtower came out saying;”If the organization would tell us to do something that didn’t make sense to humans… we should do it!”
That was the last meeting I attended.
I think the YouTube community is very encouraging witnesses who want to leave but aren’t sure where to go.
Unfortunately, Many will continue to be associated with the organization just for the social aspects. I am not sure that anyone with 30 years or more in the organization still believe that they will see paradise. Several Close friends have privately told me their parents experienced a harsh reality check when they discovered that they were going to die in this system!!

What is the current pulse in the organization with the reductions?
by SouthCentral ini have not seen jehovah’s witnesses in my neighborhood for several years now.
it appears that the cart witnessing has taken over.
congregations are being consolidated and witnesses are being forced to travel a greater distance than before.the burdens/privileges of elders seem to be ever increasing!.

Just went to a JW funeral today. I can’t beli how many times I heard how close we are to the end from 30+ year witnesses!!
my wife said that’s all that they have so they are holding on. It’s disturbing to think that these folks/my former friends actually believe this.

I’m about 50 years old… Now, all of my friend’s parents are dying. This means, I will be going to a lot of JW funerals in the next few years. The first one is tomorrow. Very excited to see old friends… Yet very apprehensive as well. I really don’t want to hear the BS talk though!
Can’t wait to hear… What hole do you go to now? LOL

How Long Will YOU Identify As A Jehovah’s Witness?
by minimus insome witnesses realize that they got into a religion and it turned out to be disastrous.
many decide they have to somehow get out.
some do it right away and others take longer.. where are you in your journey?

I probably tell people that I grew up as a Jehovah’s Witness. I have no issues with it. The next question is always; “Are you still active?”
I usually dance around the question though… LOL
The eventual answer is no of course.

The Latest Thing Waking People Up...
by pale.emperor insince i woke up and left i've been contacted by others i knew from my youth who've also left the cult.
also people around the world on facebook adding me out of the blue because we have mutual friends and they occasionally ask me stuff or share their story.. what i've noticed in the vast majority of cases, is that people are waking up not because of the arc or doctrine but apathy.
active jws are becoming less and less interested, less and less bothered.

One of the very first signs of doubt was from a convention signed that referenced the 1975 prediction. They cited a 1968 watchtower article. The generation change was earth shattering to me. It seemed like no one else was bothered by this major doctrinal shift.
Recently, through YouTube testimonies, I have noticed, that many were affected by this change.
Whatever is causing people to leave the organization TODAY, may not be realized for decades.

I have a friend who is visiting from another country. He has been a missionary for at least 10 years now. I am going to get together with a group of old friends within the next few weeks. I really wonder, how can people stay in the organization for over 25 years and accept the changes?
I know many witnesses that have left the organization… But they still feel it is the truth. I know many others that are very active! I really don’t know how they can do it. I guess if you stay in, just for social reasons… Maybe…

Diversity is White Genocide
by corrie54 inasia for the asians, africa for the africans, white countries for everybody!.
everybody says there is this race problem.
everybody says this race problem will be solved when the third world pours into every white country and only into white countries.. the netherlands and belgium are just as crowded as japan or taiwan, but nobody says japan or taiwan will solve this race problem by bringing in millions of third worlders and quote assimilating unquote with them.. everybody says the final solution to this race problem is for every white country and only white countries to “assimilate,” i.e., intermarry, with all those non-whites.. what if i said there was this race problem and this race problem would be solved only if hundreds of millions of non-blacks were brought into every black country and only into black countries?.

Is The Person Who Helped You “Get Into The Truth” Still Around?
by minimus ini helped, unfortunately, many people to become baptized jws.
recently, over the last few years, i saw many of my students who were still “ in the truth “ lament that i was no longer associating or active in the faith.. i do feel bad that i did such a good job that most of them still are in the cult.. are your teachers still around or did they wise up and leave the lord’s organization?
?.

This is a great question! The Person studied with me is actually missionary. I haven’t seen him in about 15 years. Ironically, he is in town for a few weeks. I will be hooking up with some old witness friends Very soon. Definitely a little nervous, but I am still going to go. I have always usied the excuse that because of my demanding job, I can’t make all the meetings. I think it’s been at least four years though… LOL
