they don’t go to meetings.
A lot of witnesses get dressed up and say they are attending the convention or a zoom meeting. I’ve seen at least 10 people do this. Several have taken pictures showing the family taking notes. So encouraging… LOL
Initially, many would take pictures of the screen for the zoom meeting, but I guess this was discouraged.
it seems like the only possibilities are women of color.

To Be totally honest… Black people do not like Biden (crime bill) or Kamela (incarceration Rate of black males, allegedly sleeping her way to the top and having a white husband).
But many view trump as the personification of evil; so they will vote for the donkey over the elephant.
a few weeks ago; a witness couple from the midwest reached out to me after 25+ years.
they said they were doing a letter writing campaign and decided to reach out to me… they called on my personal cell phone, which was a little surprising.
a few days ago, a couple that i knew from over 40 years ago, sent me a text, again to my personal cell phone.. i assume that they just googled my name to get the personal info.
The midwestern couple hinted; but they never asked if I was still going to the meetings… It’s obviously a question I don’t want to deal with.
Also, a friend who i used to regularly associate with said; “I don’t know if you’re going to the meetings or not… But we all know the end is close……”

The extra (.5) witnesses were sent 20 minutes away.
For instance, if after combining all four halls there was 150 English speaking publishers… 100 stayed in the hall… While others were shipped away. Pretty sad somehow catch the bus…While others carpool.

Interesting fact, my old KH had 4 English congregations (30 years ago). Now it’s been cut to 1.5 English, with the addition of 3 Spanish congregations.
The extra English publishers were shipped to a KH about 20 minutes away. An old friend told me this change happened about two years ago. He said that this creates a hardship because most of the witnesses in this area are very poor.

What is the spin that the organization is using to justify this downsizing? Also, how is this being perceived by fateful witnesses?
Does anyone know of any consolidations in the Los Angeles area?
every once in a while you hear people say they actually “miss” their old witness friends and or family.
some would have even stayed in the organization if they became a bit more liberal and open minded.

my wife and I actually discussed it at a recent JW funeral that we went to.
I have a few JW friends who have nonbelieving mates who I regularly associate with as couples. We never talk about the organization.
I remember asking several non-JWfriends (after the generation change) what would what they do if their religion taught something they couldn’t accept?
Each one told me… They don’t agree with every teaching of their religion. That was a totally foreign concept to me!
as a witness, you accept everything or you get kicked out!
If I could just go to the kingdom hall once a month or so… Like church people do… I would be fine. I love it How some church people will only go on Christmas and Easter… And everything is all good!
i could never do field service again though… Probably would never go to the hot Long Beach Arena for a convention either.
I want my children to continue to play sports and go to college… So that obviously would be a problem for them being accepted by others.
Being a witness and being on conventions has helped me to excel in my career a great deal.
so i use to go this hall that was basically 100 percent white and basically anyone under the age of 40 has either faded or makes a token effort to keep the peace at home, of course outside of the usual dregs of society .
the hall went from two congs to one and i was quite happy that in ten years they would be lights out.
then in the last two years about six young filipino families have moved in and three of them are newly baptized .

marches, sit ins, traffic blocking is the new normal for people to demonstrate.
they block highways, state buildings and roadways.
they may even get arrested but invariably get turned loose by the courts.. i think it’s disgraceful to demonstrate this way.
What is an acceptable way to protest? Sit during the pledge?!
Something that is not disruptive or upsets people?
