Let's see these facts, since you seem to know about wts more than myself as you appear to have done deeper research than myself, please provide these facts about Russell being a mason and part of illuminati bloodlines. Or are you one of Alex Jones followers who believes all the "facts" on the net?

WTBS taking care of older ones?
by roadrunner027 indoes anyone know if the society/organization is financially taking care of the older ones?.
my husband and i left the org over 10 years ago, we are of the generation where our parents came to the jw's in the 70's, gave up everything they owned, had no college education, and stuck to the usual janitorial/construction jobs so they wouldn't miss any meetings.
this of coarse means they have no retirement money and see nothing wrong with that as the end of the system is soon upon us.

They must not be excersising enough faith in the lord, they should pray more and build their faith and their needs will be taken care of.
On a serious note, there is a retirement complex called Jah-Jireh Charity Homes which is run for jws and I'm sure it has wts blessing but I doubt it gets anything from the society in financial assistance. Here's the link:
Here is their mission statement:
Objects
The objects of the charity are:
• The provision of care facilities for elderly Jehovah's Witnesses in good standing who have need of
such facilities by reason oftheir age, infirmity or economic circumstances;
• The advancement of Christian religion as practised by Jehovah's Witnesses; and
• The relieving of Jehovah's Witnesses in hardship and/or distress.I think it's in UK.

Don't get too excited about conspiracy theories because that's all they are. There is no proof Russell was involved in any of these things. He knew of Masonary but many did in his time and in his area but doesn't mean that he was a Mason himself. Just because his last name is Russell doesn't mean that he's part of the Illuminati bloodlines. There are things written about wts and individuals that are theories not facts and some are just fiction so unless you can back something up by proof I wouldn't be telling jws something that you can't prove it. Some nonsense that's spread on the internet does apostates a disfavor as it's just nonsense.

Any Ideas on the Next "Big Thing" that Will Bring the Watchtower Down?
by jamiebowers ini received this via a face book pm from the group christian witness fellowship:.
also near the end of the show, richard rawe says "something extra big" is about to happen that will take watchtower "down," something bigger even than their pedophile scandal and the u.n. connections scandal put together.
he says he can't spill the beans yet, but the something is definitely coming.

I would say time but if it's about to happen. I don't believe that anything can bring wts down soon unless Christ comes down and rejects them outright and they would still point to Christ and tell their member's it's Satan and not to listen to that.

Hello ArchDemon:
Just curious how old is your friend? You sound young that's why I ask. Second, her definition of researching her religion is not the true meaning of the word. Most likely she studied with jws or her perants and came to the conclusion that it's true religion as what else would jw tell others. About disfellowshipping she's wither lying but or is more likely ignoring the reality as that's one thing that jws do alot. Try sticking with one topic when you discuss things with her and don't change it until there is nothing more to say on the subject. If you talk about disfellowshipping as in
"can you disfellowship jw with no problem?"she said "yes, you just need to inform them"
You don't inform the religion of wanting to be disfellowshipped, they do that to you basically if you want to leave you write a disassociation letter and they announce that you no longer are a jw at one of their meetings and the members automatically think of you as someone not to talk to. You should ask her who gets disfellowshipped and why? Most likely she'll tell you people who do bad things will get disfellowshipped - mostly of morality reasons. Ask her what if you disagreed with one of the teachings after you got baptized what would happen? Could you present your view in a congregation openly? She may say yes, but that will be either a lie of out of ignorance on her part to which case you can use Ray Franz (ex-governing body member) as an example. Also, what does she mean by there is no problem when disfellowshipped? Some people continue talking to disfellowshipped individuals but that is rare.
"Are there any changes in doctrines?" and she also said "no",
This statement on her part makes me think that she's either lying or more likey that she's young and when her family studied with witnesses 7 years ago they were not presented the past which is typical. As her what she knows about the "first president" Charles Russell. Ask her what did Russell teach about 1914? Did he teach that Jesus' second presents was to start in 1914? Did Russell teach that Jesus took power in heaven in 1914? And did Russell teach that last days started in 1914? Sincec she's most likely ignorant of the truth she will answer "yes" to all these question to which you should point her to find Thy Kingdom Come book written by Russell and read it. The link is to the 1911 pdf copy of the book which you can give her but don't give he the link at this time or she'll think it's an apostate site which is something jws view on the same level as satan. From there you can point her that Russell or watch tower originally taught that:
Last days began in 1799 (based on George Bell's theory and after the pope was take captive in 1798 by the French which was viewed as the fall of anti-Christ)
Jesus returned for the second time in 1874 and this teaching was taught until 1930s and officially changed in 1943 in the salvation book (I think that's correct if I remember right)
Christ began to rule as king in 1878 which was changed to 1914 in the early 1920s
And on this topic the only thing that watch tower originally taught was that 1914 was end of gentile times which they based on 606BC fall of Jerusalem, a date which was wrong and is proven wrong by history and archeaology today (secular history points to 586/587BC), and a date changed to 607 in the 1940s as they realized that Russell didn't even add years correctly. Also to come up with 1914 Russell added 40 years from 1874 which related from the baptism of Christ in 30AD to 70AD the second destruction of Jerusalem. Also Russell used calculations of passage ways in the Pyramid Of Giza to which he taught was build by God's direction.
These different ways of obtaining these dates made Russell believe that he was right about the dates because these varied ways of calculation all pointed to the dates stated above. Stick with the topic and don't allow her to change topic, if she wants to change topic tell her that you can discuss that topic some other day.
Sorry for a lengthly post and you did a right thing for coming her to get more informed on the watch tower religion.

by highdose inthis is an email going round the jw's, contains several accounts.

How nice to know that brothers helping brothers and also "the friends from the congregations" while the rest can rot. Also it's nice to read that they get no help from the wicked world.
WTF! The reality is that most of the help comes from the "evil worldly" people and these wts fucks won't even give credit where it's due. Would be nice to hear a story where the evil world just said "sorry we can't help jw as they have their own to help them" I wonder how far that would get them. I HATE this cult more and more.

Their BS pile grows bigger and bigger by each passing article they print. They're putting more and more emphesis on leader worship then ever before. They use programming where it builds a wall in the subconscience so that if anything is asked of a dub the wall goes up and they can't think logically why their leaders do certain things or why their religious belief taught things in the pst and they automatically discart any negative brought forrth about the borg.
Has anyone else notice that these types of lines have been in print more and more than ever before? I don't remember that much emphasis put on being obediant to gb in the 19 years being in the cult or maybe I just never paid that much attention but I can swear I'm noticing more of this gb promotion crap in their writing as of the last 2 or 3 years.

So what's in it for the WTS?
by leec ini'm still just trying to understand ..... what is the real essence of why the leaders at the very core of this religion do what they do?
i assume they are all in the 144k, so i get that.
but i mean ... that can't be the entire motivation for all this misery.

Just to add to freydo comments, a notorious man said this about governing bodies which can also apply to wts governing body itself:
“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.” –Joseph Goebbels

What about 1931+120? They could say 2051 as they were given the title of a prophet in 1931 thus 120 years of a witness to the world just a NOAH was a preacher of rightiousness???
Maybe they're use this one after 2034 hope proves false hope once again.

E-Watchman says you apostates will soon do an "evil work"
by yadda yadda 2 inhttp://e-watchman.com/.
"at this late hour millions of jehovahs witnesses have already been stumbled, including people once associated with jehovahs witnesses such as family or relatives of jehovahs witnesses, and there are those many millions who have partaken of a bible study with jehovahs witnesses but who did not commit to become jehovahs witnesses, who are now increasingly, often rabidly, hostile to the watchtower organization.
those legions of stumbled individuals, united through dozens of internet discussion boards and so-called "recovery" groups, are now unwittingly primed to do an evil work during the hour of darkness soon to engulf this wicked world.

I also left his board since there are some whacky things about him. First he keeps yelling that the end is just months away and he telling others that somehow wts was God's org. at some time and that JW are actually God's people. The silly thing is that wts could never been God's org (if there is a God) thus it's followers could never been God's named people. If the end came within the next couple years lets say, would that mean that the Mayans with their pagan worship were more correct than the bible in foretelling the end? hmmm
Most of us apostates hate wts but I doubt most of us hate actual r&f who are victims of this cult so why would we go out of our way to snitch on our family members. So what if the current system is crumbling, it did that in the 1930s and we most likely will revisit this event here again. Other groups have been warning that we are going to enter another great depression and they had nothing to do with the bible but base it purely on study of human cycle, and economic cycles. These low cycles in man's history are usually great times for religious nut cases to gain followers as fear drives men to God and true hardships leave many seeking answers to their misery which these religious nutcases use to their benefit to sooth the pain of the masses by their empty promises of the imminent end where God will save only their little cult.
