Ghosts and Spirits
by Cold Steel ini've been watching the bio channel lately and hearing people relate their stories of ghosts and the supernatural.. although i think some people do experience demonic presences, i think some people (for whatever reason) find it difficult to move on.
jws believe everything is caused by "demons," but there are many near death experiences where people clearly seem to see family members who have helped them and who have manifested themselves with feelings of peace and serenity.
since i don't believe that satan can duplicate these feelings of well being, i was wondering what you think of such manifestations, good or bad.. also, have you ever had any experiences, again, good or bad, in your lives?

In fact, if the end was to come now, the Mayans would get the prize as they would have been closer to the date than wts, and that's probably because the devil told them and he was better informed than the bible and Jesus as neither point to any date. It's sad to see delusional people trying to push their illness on others, and the sad truth is that some 7 million mostly ignorant people are doing this very thing. You people who deny reality and push lies on others should be held responsible for ruined lives of others and I only hope that that day comes in my life time. How can someone go this far in trying to discredit everything from every angle possible and still believe he's right? Is the guy delusional or is he somehow sponsored by wts? I don't get it. It must be a global conspiracy to hide the real truth about 607BC and only wts and few sects can really understand the truth about 607 and the rest of the world is hiding truth and using every lie possible to discredit 607BC. hmm does that sound logical? It's insane to try to discredit the entire historical, archeological community because of one's imaginary belief system based on 607BC. And then there is the thirdwitness idiot.

I hope as much as anyone here that wts drops off the cliff but I doubt it. The new Flock book isn't that much different from the old flock book. Both books are secret and are available on internet.
I can see them changing dates. 1914 has to go, sooner or later it is a thorn in their side and they will have to get rid of it. No more dates just vague repetition of the end being near. Without 1914, wts wreck can continue on for a longtime without sinking.
They can always throw in the guilt trip that "we aren't serving God for a date and that's how we differ from all other so called Christian religions". blah blah blah..... They will have to take a risk or loosing some members but the wts will continue on and they will continue to change doctrine as needed. Right now the global slowdown, global recession is playing in their favor and as the times become more uncertain it goes well for them. Fear is always a good incentive to stay close to God.
There were groups and congregations in the past that left wts and it may shake things up in that area but wts didn't blink and they continued on. Indoctrination that apostates are evil is a wonderful think on their part as majority of believers stay away from research out of fear that the boogieman devil will get them and there is also the fear of being DF and shunned.
We can hope that wts fragments but I wouldn't hold my breath.

by VM44 ini have read here that the kingdom halls usually have a mortgage held by the watchtower (or by some elders?
), and that when the congregation finally pays it off, the kh ownership is transferred to the watchtower.. can anyone here confirm that is what happens?.

Ask about the cornerstone of WTS teaching. 607BC!!! I like this because if 607BC is wrong then 1914 wasn't Jesus' return and FDS wasn't chosen in 1919 which makes GB a fraud thus making a wts a fraud. Once one realized GB are just men and not appointed by God, one has easier time in examining all other aspects of WTS belief system.

That was the same phrase I didn't agree in Ray's book. Maybe until 1980 they still believed all the shit they teach. And maybe until then they may have been viewed as victims of victims but not today. We have all the materials needed for research not far from home. Internet can reveal facts that we may not have been able to find near us or without spending huge sums of money to travel to museums that can show artifacts and so on about our research. If GB and the top leadership don't search these things out then they are ignorant fools. If they ignore the facts that are presented they are morons. But than again it was in the late 70s that GB was presented with the info on 607 from Carl Jonsson and they rejected it thus making them at least dumbasses who deserve to die without seeing their hopes fulfilled. I don't believe today they are victims of victims but are vampires sucking the blood life out of 7 million followers.

moses is nearing the end of his life but he has some unfinished business to take care of before he hands over to joshua.
he announces that he has had an instruction from god to take revenge on the midianites before he dies.

Sorry for late reply. Sodom wasn't warned as Genesis account only states that there was an outcried heard by God of their wickedness but it doesn't state that they were warned to repent by a prophet of God or anyone else. That section of Genesis was always confusing to me and I may start a new thread on this later. Anyways, Ninevites were warned and were saved even though it doesn't say how they repented and what was the difference in their way of life after Jonah spoke to them. Which raises the question, would Sodom repent if they had a prophet in their midst? One can speculate that they would have not. But that's just a speculation Matt 10:15 could be used to counter that argument. In fact would any other nations repent or are we to assume that all these people were totally evil from baby to the old men? Bible makes it appear that God had no problem helping Jews over and over even when many kept lacking faith though they had myriads of miracles performed in front of their eyes while at the same time the nations who got slaughtered never seen a single miracle but got annihilated anyways for their wickedness. What nation or people should put faith that God is working in behalf of another group just by hearing of some army winning many battles. That's like Iraqis should know that God is with America because US wins all the time. In same manner were the Canaanite nations expected to put faith that it was the true God leading Israelites? Comparing that to today, one can also argue that WTS is God's nation and even though they hide their past, they change their teachings and they suffocate life out of people we and the other 6 billion people will die at Armageddon just because we don't buy into wts theology.
NO ONE - including babies and children - is innocent in the sight of God.
If Bible God exists, as I stated earlier he plays a game with his creatures and doesn't give a care about us. He's not a righteous God as one is to imagine nor is he caring. 2000 years of lies and misary and He will destroy 99.9% of people because they didn't put faith in the right guy selling his version of God's story?
Religion works on hope and faith which both words are really useless without any real evidence.

Absolutely. How many of us knew of Russell's chronology and his weird teachings? What of Rutherford? What about the organ transplants being banned and many crazy medical ideas found in pages of Golden Age? Who today knows the full story of 1975? Anything that is too embarrassing to wts is swept under the rug. They may mention some events in an innocent like manner but the whole scope of the events never appears for today's followers. Even the UN affiliation and the pedophile lawsuits aren't known by today's followers and these events are very recent.

Have the nations of the land been warned to repent or face destruction? It doesn't seem so. Sodom and Gommorah hasn't and they were destroyed. Without a proper warning how could people of the area know any different when they have been raised into their culture similarly to that of any culture today including wts followers. The people were doing wicked works without knowing they were wicked as they imagined they were doing the right thing for their king, priest or god. So were infants of these nations deserving destruction? Without a divine warning how can one be sure that what one does is contrary to one's way of life which he/she grew up with. Today in western society we have media and more or less freedom of information which cannot be compared to some tribes 4000 years ago who lives based on the passed down values and belief system.
Those were man's wars just like they are today. If there is a god he doesn't care about people other than his own game play. If it's human wars as I see it, I can anderstand it why women and children were killed and why no one was spared but if they were god's wars it doesn't make sense.
