  They used a bible parable and quoted a scripture about " who ever builds a tower for himself builds without the blessing of god " something to that effect. It had to be the most stupidest article I ever read in a WTS. magazine or otherwise. The tower of a typical desktop computer is what they were referring to. Say it isn't so... That is just down right embarrassing.

  i am feeling sick after reading the question box - it's so cold and unfeeling toward those who use the telephone to listen to congregation meetings.. .

  the wts desire to control their weakest members - the infirm and chronically ill - by guilting them into "putting forth the effort to be personally present " at the kingdom hall is disgusting.. .

  I am so sorry lukewarm, but I do not see what you apparently see in this article. It looks to me that they have no problem with shutins or temp. ill people using the phone. I read it to say that they think one gets more out of a meeting if they are there in person. Once again, I am sorry but if you can point out exactly what I am missing I would appreciate it.

  And while I am ranting, I think there is plenty wrong with the Jehovah's Witnesses to not resort to trivial complaints.

  ...when i had my dear old cat, puss puss put down this morning.

  i had her for 18 years.

  last night i bathed her and used the blow dryer and brush on her matted fur, and she didn't even try to fight me.

  i have got a huge grudge against jehovah and his "organization".

  i feel like it has ruined my life and any chance of a relationship with god..(if there is one.

  i remember an elder in my congregation gave the talk "godly view of sex and marriage" in the 90's.

  he was talking about masturbation.

  he said to the audience if you have any problems with masturbation, please let him know, he also said please do not be embarrassed.

  You know my dad will get upset if a movie has any cursing or any hint of sexuality in it ...heck he thinks the viagra commercials are pornographic. I

  can't imagine him sitting thru a meeting with a lecture be given along those subject lines. Those people are incredible with their ideas for sermons.

  The 2007 generation teaching is that it applies to the entire 144,000 over the last 2000 years, and that some of the 144,000 will still be around.

  But if they leave it like this wouldn't that make it last forever seeing as how they say newly annointed are replacing the ones that screwed up?
