Church of Christ vs. Jehovah's Witnesses

i have a friend that joined church of christ a few years ago.

they seem to be organized and behave very similar to the kh.

can anyone else elaborate and give and reasons or theories as to this parallel?

Interesting coments regarding Trinity, bodilly resurrection of Christ and Hell yadda yadda 2. If the WT and many other Protestand groups(amongst the thousands) have being misguided, and claim Bible's authority to defend their "theological dogma" doesn't mean that those accepting Trinity and Jesus bodily resurrection believe in nonsence.

Even hell is not the way that WT claims that the Catholic Church and the Orthodox(the 2 apostolic Churches)believe.

i know i have been through all those stages, i denied it, then i got angry, definitely sad.

months and months of this, and i still am in for my family and friends.. but sometimes i just feel stupid.

why did i ignore basic common sense for so long?

For sure I feel agry, hatred towards the leadership of the WT, and the fact that they have stolen my life and my best years. I wish they rot in hell those louzy false prophets...

But I'm feeling blessed since I'm no longer slave of the WT and I'm free, free in Christ

Swearing - Do you?

one of the things you're not supposed to do as a witness is swear.......but sometimes the definition of what a swear word was went too far.

for example in my family at one point my parents decided for a little while that we should stop saying the word "bum" after having used it forever.

this did not last as a swear word for very long as.........well i mean .....come on!.

My own little GB memory

i just remembered this, as it happened back in the mid 70s.

my parents had taken my younger brother and i to hear two "special" talks in salt lake city.. the featured speakers were knorr and raymond franz.. i remember being entranced by franz, who was one of the more concise speakers i'd ever heard, very sharp, and rather bored by knorr, who seemed elderly and vague.

i was about 13/14 at the time but had these very distinct impressions.. anyway, after the talks, the crowds were pressing in to get a chance to shake the speakers hands, and my 12 year old brother (who had adhd and still does) pushed impulsively through the crowd and ran smack into knorr.
